Is there an option for flip up side windows to access the bed from the side instead of slide to opens?
Im looking at a mid rise ARE cap. I think they have a sliding win-door option, if they dont i will have to go with Ranch which is a couple hundred pricier.

I'll have to look into it. I use the side doors more than the rear. Especially on something this small it seems way handier.

So I was looking today and none of the companies that are all basically the same have their midrise caps listed. I think it was Ranch that had the win-door, but I thought ARE did too. There was also another company in the midwest that made the exactly like ARE that had them. But I cant find em.

I think there is some weird supply issue with truck caps.

Well that sucks. Hopefully it all gets sorted out at some point in the next 12 months before mine hopefully ever gets built and delivered.

I know its weird because there have already been several people with various mid rise caps sold through the regular truck accessory dealers that are on people trucks on the forum. Alot of people complain about how it looks with lines of the trucks or colors or whatever. I could care less. We are getting a Hot Pepper Red Tremor and just want a mid rise cap, with load capable rails on top, a front window slider, and the sliding win-doors, that will let me access my stuff while also keeping my dogs inside and cool.

This is what was available on the both ARE and Ranch build and quote sites.

That's exactly what I'm looking for as well. I don't care how a midrise looks. It's a tool that serves a purpose for 6 months of the year. Need the side access to get tools out and put small critters in. Need the rails on top to put a canoe or small Jon boat on.

Absolutely. Cracks me up people talking about having to black it out, or dont like this line or that. A generation ago any cap you got looked exactly like every other one out there, only difference was if it had non body matching paint or it was white :ROFLMAO:

Im gonna try to talk to someone at ARE and Ranch, if I hear anything I will let everyone know.

I've still got one of those white toppers from the 80's out back. Absolutely indistinguishable from every other one built back then.

Definitely appreciate ya keeping us updated on what you find.

Best one I've seen yet. The window top lines match the truck windows. None of the others do that and look wrong to me. Now if they can keep same window look and add a mid-rise, it would be on my order list.
See my posts and pictures of my Jason Mid-rise cap.

It was right at $2,700. but there are more option you can add. This was the starter.
Who painted it? Come from the manufacturer painted? Or, did you have to have it painted? Anyhow, I like it. Looks great

Ok the cap is still leaking around the cap seals which got worse , I went back to the installer they spent 1 1/2 hours trying to seal it .
they said it’s a maverick problem. Is anyone having this problem or are my installers just not getting it right
should I contact ARE
