ICON on my dash - what is it?

OK maybe this is a silly question, but I can't find the answer so I thought I would ask. If I hit this button with a hand inside a circle it says ON. What exactly is ON?

Stop hold. If the vehicle comes to a stop you can let your foot off the brake and it won't roll forward until you push the gas.

Yes, push it when you want auto-hold to function. Sometimes, people prefer vehicle creep.

Push it on to activate it. You’ll see a dashboard icon come on to let you know that it is active.

I keep my vehicle on auto-hold and in fact I have never pushed that button.
I have come to love auto-hold

I rarely use it because I fear I'd drive my other car without auto hold and roll into something when I take my foot off the brake.

So, it's fine to just leave it ON all the time? I think I will like that option as well. I tried to find more information in the owners manual and I couldn't find anything. They even list the icons and do not show that one!

I going to tell my wife that my Maverick came with an Automatic Stop Creep button, she will want one in her car! LMAO

Only thing I don't like about it is that it requires the gas pedal to start moving forward. But if you live in a hilly area you might really like it.

I like just letting off the brake and the car starting to creep forward automatically.
