I'm so sorry I didn't meet your standards of behaviour and you make assumptions about my posting that are not true. Number one, I did not realize this wasn't the new members thread. Number two, I had no idea I was supposedly dissing someone's choice of colour. I was merely saying I found...

This is the Azure Gray Metallic. I had a tough choice between the two gray shades that Ford offer. I found the Velocity Blue to be too bright.
  3. It's Getting Closer ...

Yeah, it's better to seen it in person; same with the wheels. I'll be installing a Leer quad-fold tonneau cover but, first, a tailgate assist shock.

Just arrived ... I traded in my 2024 Ranger Lariat since I wanted a hybrid w AWD and a smaller bed. It's still more than capable of towing my 2024 Prolite Profil which is 2,000 lbs fully loaded, tanks full.
  5. It's Getting Closer ...

Thanks but my build isn't affected.
  6. It's Getting Closer ...

Hi It's a Leer HF650M. Search around until you find a company that sells them in Canada. I believe I used a company based in Quebec. Beware of increased costs due to tariffs. The difference between buying one in-stock vs having to order from the U.S.
  7. It's Getting Closer ...

Hi, I placed the order over the phone in February, 2025. I ordered all the options that I wanted since no one had in-stock inventory. It was built the week of May 12th. Last update was it was sitting in an Illinois railyard. I have subsequently found out that the Ford stop sale notification...
  8. It's Getting Closer ...

Hi, where are you guys getting the information on a "stop sale" for the 2025 Ford Maverick? I was aware of one for the 2024s but no news is showing up for the 2025s that I can find, only on this forum. And, on a different note, I was not given a sales order number, a VIN nor signed any...
  9. It's Getting Closer ...

My 2025 Maverick Lariat was built during the week of May 12. Canadians do not have the ability to track our orders other than to pester the sales rep. Ford Canada needs to change this ... please ... for all the future customers in Canada. At least it's getting closer and sits in a rail yard in...
  10. Has anyone installed a catch can?

Catch cans collect atomized oil droplets. I had to clean a sensor (using brake cleaner) on a Ford E350 6.8l V10. It wasn't an issue to clean the sensor. Eventually, yes, I had to replace the sensor but not sure if a catch can would've prevented that replacement. On an inline 2.5l 4 cylinder...
  11. SSM 53801: 2022-2025 Maverick Hybrid 12V Battery Drain Issue Update Fix Released!

Thanks, this is something I never noticed and didn't ask the sales rep. Now I know. My EV had this ability too so it was never a concern.
  12. Are You a Cat Person or a Dog Person?

Need I say anything? It eats both cats and dogs for lunch! ;-)
  13. again. Battery.

Book an appointment. Until you do, who knows when it will rear its ugly head again.
  14. SSM 53801: 2022-2025 Maverick Hybrid 12V Battery Drain Issue Update Fix Released!

I used to own a brand new 2022 EV in Canada. The U.S. models had 12V battery drain issues. It didn't show its ugly head immediately in Canada (probably due to less vehicles). This brings to light two issues: 1. 12V battery drains are issues with many manufacturers, both EVs & hybrids 2. Multiple...
  15. This pressure washer is on sale cheap RYOBI

I have owned one of these for two years. I've never used it on one of my vehicles but I have used it to clean decks, prior to re-staining them. Lots of power and no issues with it.
  16. Steps I can take to minimize stone chips and scratches to the interior plastics? What things have helped you?

How about when someone cuts in front of you, in a construction zone, and immediately throws up a stone and dings your windshield as he speeds off? Nothing I could do.
  17. Steps I can take to minimize stone chips and scratches to the interior plastics? What things have helped you?

It was more expensive than what Ford charges but done by a company that only installs the product. I would've mentioned the name of the PPF and don't recall the exact cost; it did indeed make a difference for my trade-in value. I did it to protect the Ranger during a 10,000 mile trip; it worked...
  18. Bear damaged my Maverick

One solution is to put garbage in a bear proof container. The other solution is long term; people should stop feeding bears and they won't associate humans with food. They always want the easiest access to food. I am not accusing you of feeding any bears. ;-) I kept a BBQ in a storage area...
