2022-2024 models have it on the center console.
Correct. My 22 Lariat has it on the center console as part of the row that has the Drive Mode, Traction Control, and Auto-Hold.

My former 2018 Chevrolet Equinox had hill hold assist. I never depended on it as it would hold sometimes in the hills in Seattle and sometimes not. ON my Maverick I been using it since I read about auto hold here on this forum and I really like it. I got a replacement right knee and it is great in the fact I can relax once I have stop. Cruise control and auto hold 2 great features making an old farts life easier in the daily drive.

OK maybe this is a silly question, but I can't find the answer so I thought I would ask. If I hit this button with a hand inside a circle it says ON. What exactly is ON?

I thought it was the button to order french fries but they never arrived.

Yes, push it when you want auto-hold to function. Sometimes, people prefer vehicle creep.
Yup, im like that I like the creep forward option... so its mostly useless for me... maybe if i lived where there were San Fran type hills(your only know if you ever were there).. so for most with a auto transmission this isnt a awesome or even that useful.. BUT this tech is a god send for those that drive a stickshift still... one less thing you need to mess with when youre on a incline...This feature alone almost makes a 5/6 speed worth owning again.

Never turn that on when entering a drive through car wash. It keeps the brakes locked.

🤓 🤔 I’ve never noticed that in my truck, I’m gonna have to check it out.

That icon is supposed to represent a
brake drum with brake shoes and a hold hand I guess. Most younger and non-mechanically inclined people today probably have no clue as to its origins.
