The console vault on my order is so damn small it’s silly that it’s $350ish. I can’t remove it now since it’s on the window sticker but I might have the dealership not install it and I may decide to see if anyone wants it slightly discounted, or install it myself if not. Talk me back into liking it please!

You can safely store the key to your larger vault for example.
I think you will be fine, seems large enough for wallet.gun and some ammunition...Isn't that the reason for it anyway...

What would have been cheaper was if the front console was locking in the 1st place and big enough to hold a Glock 19 or even a 43X (Hers, ah I just remembered it never leaves my hip anyways. Still would have been nice

This is the downside of a crew cab. If it was just an extended cab, they could have put a much bigger vault in there and you better believe I'd happily store my tools in it. They're in this right now and it's sitting in my office. If only I could put them in the truck.

Not entirely sure but I think a common knife can easily cut through a fabric seat.
