After reading posts on the underseat vault, I recalled that I still had one of these cable type safes that I had yet to use in my previous vehicles:

I ended up looping the cable around the lower rear seat pivot tube - for lack of the official name for this part, and then I noticed that after you remove that mystery padding in that seat-back pocket, this safe just fits that pocket! It’s snug so I don’t see it sliding out no matter how hard you take those turns.
The only things I will likely put inside this small safe are a Gorilla wheel lock key and possibly a couple tire plug repair pliers.
