Called the dealership service dept today and apparently they won't fix it or address it until you get symptoms indicating failure.

More news of garbage build quality. Many buyers will make excuses like you don't need it or if camera freezes use mirrors. Ford keeps proving over and over they are shit in a lipstick box. The leader by double in recalls the last 2 years.

Good news is sales are only 50% of last year.

Good news is sales are only 50% of last year.
Good thing no other car manufacturer has recalls. Oh wait, Toyota just had a big engine replacement recall. And their new Tacoma has a brake recall. And Honda, Tesla, GM, ... They all have recalls, some for a few impacted vehicles, some for hundreds of thousands. As cars get more complicated with more options more things will go wrong. Even Rolls Royce has recalls on rear camera and brake issues. Get used to it.

Sorry but I don't settle. I love the idea of the Maverick but it is regrettable it is a Ford. You can go ahead and get used to it - very poor quality, I don't accept it. I hold them accountable and as others on this forum have, will call them out. It's the only way you get change.

Yepper, got this one yesterday also. Put it on file with the 10 year motor failure one hehe.
At least I haven't had any deep sleeps in almost 2 weeks, since I had the AGM battery installed ...

Yes, lots of hassles, but at the end of the day, I still smile when I hop in that drivers seat :)

difference in my letter which states 'parts are available'.
I know. You said in the title it's a recall, but it is not, that's all I was pointing out. I also linked the previous thread, since there is useful information on this subject there.

Just curious how you are calling them out in order to get change?

I hope you don't think it's by a simple post on a public forum - I'm guessing it's more than that to actually effect change.

Except every vehicle has these kinds of problems these days, no matter the manufacturer. So by your definition buying any vehicle is "settling" these days.

So, uh, I guess enjoy riding the bus? 😆

I'm on my second battery. Had to wait until the battery got below 40% capacity at 100% charged before they changed it for a 390 CCA to a 470 CCA. Had to jump it once. I now carry a jump pack. They didn't recommend an AGM because charging parameters would have had to be programmed in to keep from shortening that batteries life. Recall for SSM #53087 is supposed to come out in 1st quarter of 2025. I'm waiting to see if they have a fix. I already have a lemon law attorney that I'll sign a retainer to represent me if no fix by the end of this quarter, as stated by the Dealer and Ford Customer Care. In the meantime I'm monitoring the new battery. Depletion has already started after a month.

Change is happening, fines, Quality Control reviews by third party. This forum and it's posts with actual photos and work order copies is plenty of evidence. Faster response to issues has sterted. Articles letting the public know. Stock price drop. Most Recalls in the last 2 years by a manufacturer. There are more than just normal issues and forever to fix if ever just a software issue. I could be wrong but, so far they have no software fix for the camera. What about hardware, cost to much.

Sounds like you just need to buy a different vehicle instead of tilting at windmills. Then you won't be so unhappy. Ford CEO has been working on quality. Every model new design upgrade requires a 6 week hold before shipping so they can do assembly quality checks. I've been buying new cars for 56 years and over time cars have more problems as they get more complicated. It's inevitable. Just like the Microsoft blue screen of death, or all the security glitches in most software. You need to get used to this or think about becoming Amish. They just need to worry about a bearing recall on their buggies.
