The ones in the XLT badge are FENIEX QUAD CANNONS. If you surface mount these you will need the cover for them or drill a 1” hole and hide them as they have a 120 deg spread. I wanted mine to stick out so people can see them as they approach. They have 3 modes too as well as 4 colors built in and are SAE CLASS 1( not toys)

I was thinking installing these as a surface mounted turnsignal mirror light like police mounted strobe?

That’s cute, but it’s a toy light. If you want to grab attention , only use CLASS 1 SAE rated as the toy lights have a very narrow beam to make them look bright at a certain angle. Also they tend to leak water in them too.

If your going to use the FENIEX or WHELEN, use the solid on option in the strobe patterns so your maverick does the flashing, the lamp just acts like a standard bulb .

🤔 I like the idea of a mirror cap turn indicator. Short of that, I think I like something fairly subtle. Mounted in the side badge here's one example there are a couple out there.

OR
There is one that's more like a capsule shape with three small LEDs at mounts in the top recess of the badge.👇👇

That is exactly what I did to my 2023 , it also flashes when I lock/unlock the doors and it is a turn signal as well. Like it also It's the small Amber light I believe I got them pretty cheap on Amazon.

One of my irritants about my old 2016 F150 was the lack of amber running lights on the mirror where my OEM LED spot lights were. So to me if i could get a surface mount module that i could tap a hole into the cap would be ideal. On Amber for running and flashing Amber for turnsignals.

Hello Rebelyell, send me a DM and we can talk about this. I may have a solution for you 👍

I like the single LED fixture installed in the side vent but will consider covering these with a 3D Printed lense my dilemma is finding a plug and play wiring harness

I feel the same way about having a plug-in play harness.

Wouldn't it be nice if Mabett sold just a plug-in play harness?

You never know. It's possible that the wires are there inside the mirror already. No way of knowing unless you take things apart a little to see how many wires are there provided in the harness. Might be there, might not. I had a Toyota Tundra and wanted trailering mirrors that would extend when needed. I found a set that were priced right an bought them. They had turn lights in them though the originals weren't equipped. I took off the old mirror, installed the new and plugged it in and I had functioning turn indicators in the mirrors. Yeah, I know that was a Toyota and not a Ford but my point is that it wouldn't hurt to check the wiring. If Mavericks have them other places in the world the functionality might, possibly be there already in the harness.
That would make sense as the manufacturer would only have one style harness to make, stock, install

Yup. It's probably cheaper to manufacture and distribute 100,000 wire harnesses that are exactly the same than to custom make 35,000 of this special version, 20,000 of this other version, etc. The cost of the little bit of extra wire in all of them would be negligible in the overall scope of things.

All it would take is to get some one in parts to look at the wiring part number to see or just remove the mirror and use a 12v test light while the turnsignal is on. Flashing test light means its there to the mirror

I've got the same lenses in the he smoked color and have assembled the rest of the parts; LEDs, wire, wire wrap, and plug set, to make my own plug n play setup. I'm all ready to go but have to wait for the weather to clear a bit so I can stand the cold working in my shop to get it all together. I'm planning to put it all together with pictures and parts references and post on here. Should be a couple weeks.

There is one available out there; in my mind a bit pricy at $50 for a pair, however, they are nice. See my post above, I'll be putting together a post soon w/ all the info on it.
