New to group. Just purchased 2024 Maverick lariat with 2000 miles. I found keypad code in fuse box inside truck. It has 7 numbers not 5. It say foreign trucks have 7. I have tried 5 & 7 numbers can't seem to get to work. Anyone else seen this?
Thanks

Usually those international cards have 5 digits on one side and 7 on the opposite. The 7 digits are the same as the 5 plus two, and I don't remember if the additional are before or after the group of 5. Try the first five and then try the last five, if that doesn't work then you will have to speak with the dealer as I believe 2023+ Mavericks lost their hard wired keypad and got a stick on unit which comes with it's own Securicode number that is separate from the one in the BCM, the keypad basically is more or less a wireless fob so it would have to be messed with through FDRS to find the code

If you got both keys with the Maverick when purchased try this.

I can confirm my 2023 XLT hybrid has a hardwired keypad.

I also have a '24 Lariat w/ a keypad and don't know the code. I know about the tag w/ the code by the fuse box and I haven't looked for it yet because of the crappy weather we're having. I will try the method shown on the above video to see if I can get that to work for me. Anyway, I do have a question; the keypads I've seen on Mavericks have it mounted vertically beside the driver's window, however mine is mounted horizontally between the door handle and the bottom of the window. I'm pretty sure it was dealer installed. Where is yours mounted?

Those only come on the 22s and 23s, they removed that keypad from the door pillar in 24. So dumb on Fords part.

I wasn't sure where the cutoff point was, our test vehicles lost them on 2023. I know the wiring wasn't removed for a while, if at all, so the pillar keypad can be added onto 2024's not sure about 2025. Of course you'd definitely want to check.

Yeah I'm waiting for warm weather. I purchased a new OEM wired keyless keypad for the door pillar, and the door pillar vinyl. Got both from fairway Ford.

Would be great if somebody with a 22 or 23 could pop out their keypad and measure where the opening is exactly on the door pillar.

You'll need Forscan to activate the function in the BCM, and while you're at it you can add the option to the Sync screen to be able to program a personal code from there (the OEM way). The options are found in the easy mode of Forscan programming for the BCM portion, I don't know about the APIM part. Very easy to do.

Good to know, I already have forscan, do you know what setting and where needs to be enabled? Used it on every Ford I've owned, 5 now.

Interesting. I hadn't seen any pix of a Maverick w/ one mounted horizontally and the '24 CPR Lariat I almost bought also had a keypad mounted vertically, so when I went to look at the one I got I was surprised to see it mounted above the door handle. (Now I've got to get it working!)

mounted mine on the plastic facade of the C-Pillar Buttress... It's flat there for maximum adhesion and the metal in front of it sits a bit higher, so airstream flows over the keypad (should eliminate it being lifted off by the wind)...

Alot of "dumb" people don't want it and didn't feel they should pay for it, Bronco is the same way.

Unlike a smooth painted surface. The plastic has texture to it. The keypad should remove easier, when the time comes to replace the battery.
