No idea why other than maybe "assume" battery related cost/supply? Off the top of my head can't think of anything else that could be volatile in the hybrid platform. But why not in the higher trims? Seems a lot at this point in the production cycle imo. Who knows.......

These models specifically are being ordered beyond the scheduled production mix so Ford is attempting to slow that demand or at least pocket some money from it if they’re forced to produce the lower value trucks.

I’d also say these are the only two models with the twist beam rear axle so Ford is also trying to streamline production.

Sounds like a reasonable thought.

I am 100% NOT being political, but this could also be Ford padding their wallet a bit against future tariffs. If those ever come back for more than 12 hours.

Material build costs go up, prices go up.

The higher trims don't sell In such high numbers. Most buy MavBrids In the XL and XLT flavors so that's where you raise the price more. It's just good business.
The Maverick was never meant to stay a $20,000 truck. It was meant to make Ford a Profit, as much as the market will stand for. Again that Is just business.
When the Mav's stop being such a prize the rebates will follow.
Competition keeps prices down.
The Other makers will come after the Mavrick's market share soon enough, you just wait and see.

Is there any chance vehicles start getting cheaper? I was thinking passing on my order bc ev coming in few years. But if ev cars are 10k more expensive, then should just get one now and trade it in when time comes I think
Maybe break even?
