I just got home from a 2.5 hour drive to get a 2025 XL hybrid AWD...and theres no badge "hybrid" or "AWD" I had to climb under the truck to see the rear axle.
Very excited, & then I got home & I barely fit it in my garage, supposed to be a 2 car garage I think garages are just getting smaller.

Do whatever you think makes the truck more personal for you. Depending on how you use the truck will determine what kind if any modification you make. For me it was a bed cover after having a spray in bedliner applied. Congratulations on your new truck.

Welcome and have fun with the new ride! First thing I would do is take off that dealer sticker on the tailgate. After that, there's a bunch of great things you can do to make it yours, with alot of resources here with peeps who have been there, done that.

Enjoy!

Show it to friend or family member bragging about the value and gas mileage and how well it drives!

Wow, from your picture it looks like you have all kinds of room in your "garage"!!😃

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. It looks sharp. Also congratulations as well on your first new vehicle. It's very exciting to say the least.

Like those have mentioned it depends on your own wants and in some cases needs or precautions. I opted for a spray in bedliner to protect the bed. A hard trifold tonneau cover to protect items I carry or load. Mud flaps to keep salt and debris down or reduced. I opted for Krown undercoating a yearly application to protect my investment and to keep from rusting out or increase longevity. I didn't get a cubby on the driver's side in the bed so opted for this to increase storage (shackle, tow hook and room for the funnel) After adding sea foam I didn't want it in the glove compartment or under the seat.

The inside I believe they are all mabetts exterior was mud flaps, interior added the larger dash tray behind the infotainment screen. I also didn't want to have under the center console to be a catch all so opted for a 3 tier option to organize it. Lastly I wanted a trash can for small items, gum candy wrappers etc., so I opted for a trash can that sits behind the center console that also has two drink holders. This works well for me because easy access between the front seats. Also helps to hold extra water bottles etc.

Again it basically are all my personal wants or needs and this truck is yours and should have your wants or needs. Congratulations again on not only your first new vehicle but a brand new Ford Maverick.

Follow the manufacturer's break-in mileage/speed/braking recommendations in the user manual.

Oh, and remove that dealer advertising off the tailgate. It really detracts from the niceness of the no-badges tailgate.

Added some more pics of around town driving, figuring out how to optimize for mpg.

Really amazing, but it takes a bit of effort, the secret is using the cruise control with your foot ready to brake like normal driving.
Maverick hybrid cruise control can start low at 15mph,

just foot accelerate slow from stop, flip cruise on at 15mph, & use cruise + & - to accelerate & decelerate & let Ford drivetrain controller handle rate of accel & decel.

I know electric-gas is automatic, but just watching it's wild that we're able to go at least to 35mph on electric only, if traction battery has enough charge from braking.

Last picture is a reality check if you're stepping hard on the gas, I guess it is what it is while engine is warming up.

Another tip, I noticed if you start slow driving from your garage its gas only the engine doesn't immediately start up.

ICE engines are most efficient & need to be at operating temperature for efficiency & longevity, so I would recommend on cold days backing out, if the engine hasn't started up just step a little harder on the gas & engine starts up.
That way even if you're electric driving, but the time you get to the freeway & need the ICE engine, it's warmed to operating temperature.

When purchasing a new vehicle from a dealer, we ask as part of the purchase that they do not apply any dealer decals or install any dealer license plate frames. So far, that's worked fine. The only time it hasn't is when we purchase an in-stock or used vehicle off the lot, but even then, if it's just the sticker style, a bit of heat from a hair dryer softens them right up and are easy to remove.
