Glad to find this resource, I expect it will come in handy. I went for XLT and luxury option. Can't beat the price on these things. I looked at every option (through consumer reports) and nothing could touch it. I'm retired, 70+ and this will replace a VW Golf Sportwagen. Not my first Ford, not my first truck, maybe my last with any luck. I would have prefered a PHEV but prices are too high on the few available and nothing said "buy me" the way this did. Now to follow the build process -- waiting for that VIN!

I did not. I don't expect to do any heavy towing (or maybe even any at all.)
I didn't think I would do any either until this year. My brother bought a trailer, I had the truck. We've towed lawn mowers, dishwasher/dryer & 4 wheelers. I don't have 4k just FWD and its been wonderful.

Welcome!
You should enjoy your new truck when it arrives. Just don't expect the fit and finish of a VW. It's a cheap truck, built cheaply. IMO, any luxury trims or packages added are just lipstick on a cheap pig. Expect that and you will be fine.

I have had an XL FWD Hybrid for 10 months and 17K miles. It has been absolutely trouble free except for dash rattles that have been quite annoying. I expected them though, it is, after all, a Ford. Every Ford I've ever owned had rattles. But they have all been very inexpensive to own and I've owned some of them for multiple decades.

Maybe you'll get lucky and get one that is trouble free *and* doesn't rattle.🤞🤞

Thanks! I've had 3 previous Fords, a 2001 F-150 Lariat, a 2016 Fusion AWD and an E-250 I bought (very) used. All of them had minor nits. The F-150 had the in-tank fuel pump fail intermittently which was fun. The Fusion had a terrible version 1 Sync unit, but otherwise okay for the few years I had it. The E-350 had a wiper drive fall apart during a long winter trip, but was otherwise uneventful. But the VWs I have owned (and Volvos, too) have all had their issues. So my expectations aren't super high. As long as it's reasonably reliable and doesn't sound like it's falling apart -- at least for a few years -- I should be happy. But over the years I have also owned several Fiats and Corvairs, so by comparison, this should be a winner. :)
