I knew I wanted a Maverick as soon as I read about them last summer, and started to preorder the cheapest model XL with Hybrid when they went up on the website. I then hesitated and never followed through with the local dealer. Finally decide this year to go ahead and order one, but after finding out I can't get the hybrid engine, I got put on a waiting list to order a 2023 next August. Now I'm committed to ordering one as soon as it is possible in August. Hopefully the price won't go up, and any little issues get sorted by next years model. Figured I'd join up here in anticipation of my future new Maverick.

Last time I checked (late yesterday) there are a few hybrids down in Massachusetts. If you can't wait.

I expect that any hybrids that are available are getting an inflated price? I'd rather wait then spend an extra few thousand dollars. I'm aiming for that actual $20,000 sweet spot of the no frills XL.

The listings show MSRP but you'll have to contact the dealerships for more information. Hope you find your Maverick soon. Good luck!

Thanks. I'll look into it. Just leaving work, so I'll try in a while. Any chance you could link the listing?

I'm really debating hard on changing my order from the XLT (FX, 4K, 360) to a Hybrid and wait for it to come out next year. My 2020 Ford Escape only has 20k miles on it, at the most it will have 40 to 50 on it at time of trade in. I'm just not sure what I want to do. I'm really digging the Hybrid gas mpg but, I don't know if I should wait or not. I'm already impatient and want a Maverick now but, Grrrrr i'm just not sure......maybe keep my order then after it's paid off get the hybrid for my wife...

The price for the Base XLT and Lariat have already had a price increase along with other options and packages.

This thread For rewarded my patience with an $890.00 msrp increase shows that this persons order if placed right now would have had an $890 increase on it.

With all the shortages of parts and chips and inflation running rampant I really can not see even the Base XL not having a higher price for MY2023. Ford may play games on the Base XL with the price still at $19,995 but they may increase the destination charge from $1495 to $1795 or $1995.

You'll probably get it the same time as if you did order in June '21. Just saying...

I'm cheap, so the hybrid is non-negotiable. That extra gas mileage will pay for the whole vehicle over its lifetime. If I was you, I'd wait for the hybrid. Unless you have something big and cool you need to tow around or something.

Ordered mine 9/8/21 and picked it up 12/27/21. Dealer was good in that they honored MSRP but said if I passed they would surely mark it up somewhere between $5-10,000 just like the Bronco's they had on the lot. I got lucky as everything I read on this forum stated exactly what options were slowing down the production so ordered mine down and dirty basic.

Great little truck, my only issue is a personal one. My last pickup was a Ram and I have mistaken the fan speed dial for the shifter so many times. Hooray for FORD for making a pickup for $20k

XL Hybrid, Area 51, moon roof, inverter and trailer hitch $20,535 MSRP

Wow! And congrats on your new hybrid. Three and a half months to get your Maverick is amazing.
