Got my 2025 AWD hybrid today. What’s the deal on the so called manual? Dealer handed me this thin booklet, supplemental manual. Ok thinking there is a most in-depth manual in the glove box…
Nope he said that’s it…
Nothing on drive modes, the information screen… But lots on seat belts and tires…

It is online. First Ford stopped giving nice covers for their manuals....then they stop giving us paper manuals at all.

They call it progress, but I call it just CHEAP. My 2023 came with a manual, but I also downloaded the online manual for easy digital access.

It’s all electronic I scrolled through the screens it‘s I’m okay with it and it’s updatable I'm sure it’s a cost out measure and I’m sure they get some kind of carbon footprint or environmental credit 🤷🏼‍♂️

That's probably the least troublesome cost cutting measure ever. 😉

I have the service and owners manuals on my phone. It's so much easier to search for specific info.

I rather have it on my phone than taking op space in my glove compartment...perhaps I am the odd one here...

I'm 70 and not tech savvy.
I have a 23 XLT. I downloaded the manual to my phone. My paper manual is still nicely shrink wrapped in the glove compartment. I have yet to find a reason to unwrap it. I can lookup anything in the manual at a moment's notice. It's so convenient.
Posted off my phone now👇👇

I'm 71 and my '23 XL came with a paper user manual I never use either.

I have a copy of the .pdf manual on my PC, my tablet and my phone. It's keyword searchable, making it so much easier to find what I'm looking for than using a paper book with tiny print.

It's not like it's a book you'd want to curl up with in front of the fireplace and read cover to cover, anyway.

Download the full .pdf manual at ford.com

Your salesperson must not know very much if they didn't tell you you can download the full .pdf manual.

Got me there. I don't own a PC, laptop or tablet. 100% phone.

In the digital age we live in, it's kind of a good thing that manuals are becoming more obsolete. I know that's gonna upset the old fashioned ones but it's the hard truth. Everything about everything can be found at our fingertips whenever we want. If someone is really concerned or wants to know more about a feature, they can just Google it or find a Youtube video on it. It's much easier than going to the table of contents and scrambling to find the right page in a physical owner's manual.

Plus, from an environmental perspective, it saves on paper. I know not everyone is concerned about that but take it how you will. Not to mention it saves that bit of extra space in the glove box for stuff that's more important such as emergency supplies or quick access to your license and insurance card heaven for bid someone gets pulled over.

With the refreshed Maverick having the nicer 13.2-inch screen, I would imagine the digital owner's manual looking nice and crisp on a big screen that's at eye level and easier to read rather than small text in a book. I know this all sounds like I'm totally against owner's manual which I'm not. Going digital is more practical and environmentally friendly.
