Quality concerns on the existing builds with delayed arrival dates?

I'm in the same boat as some others here - original ship date of 10/14 and my delivery window of 11/1 to 11/7 passed so i reached out to my dealer and he provided the screenshot below, which shows stop ship. I also got the email from ford with an updated 12/5 to 12/11 delivery window.

Trying to track the railcar on CSX but not able to get past the part where it asks for the railcar's initials... it doesn't seem to like "BNSF" for the initials....

A stop ship is exactly what it sounds like, the affected vehicles are not allowed to be shipped until the stop ship status is removed. Most likely Ford has become aware of an issue (or several) and is requiring additional inspections prior to shipping the vehicles. While the delay is frustrating, I'd rather have Ford perform additional quality checks and fix any known issues well before I take delivery.

Unfortunately we will likely never know why Ford issued this particular stop ship or how many vehicles will be delayed because of it. They rarely issue statements on this sort of thing, and a stop ship could happen to a range of vehicles or even just one single VIN. So unless more people start getting delays for the same reason, we'll likely never how many units are in stop-ship either.

The way I found out is that I asked my dealer for an updated status and they sent me a screenshot of exactly what they see. The notes on the right show "on stopship."

My Maverick has been on stopship since it left the factory on 10/20. It's now in Columbia, SC and waiting on a ride to the dealer.

That rail car isn't on CSX. Have you tried UP? It shows shipped via UP.

Yes, tried the Union Pacific trace number as well. It asks for an equipment # and unfortunately the 302667 railcar # doesn't return anything in their trace. Not sure what else to try.

Well I did the BNSF train tracking. Seems my truck is in Louisiana. It's given me two different locations through-out the day with different depart times. I don't know where in LA they go to get off the train. I am hoping I'll get it this coming week. I have an ETA of 11/15 which is Monday and if it's still on a train that is highly doubtful.

When I trace mine with UP, I just say the entire railcar number, letters as well. So in your case, you might try saying "BNSF302667" - I just tried it with yours and it says departed Colfax, CA on 11/12 and next stop is Spring, TX on 11/20.

Thank you! After I posted I tried again with the full railcar letters/# and got the same update. Interesting that it my destination is in Chicago and it's all the way up in Colfax, CA!

My estmated delivery date just got moved from 11/17 to 12/15.
Order date was 7/15 .Build date Oct 9th.
Was excited for this truck, but am starting to look at other options.

This weekend, my Estimated Delivery date changed from 11/17 to 12/15. Today I got a call from the dealer. Truck has been delivered! Picking up later today.
Don't get too discouraged by these delays. The dates do not seem to be accurate.

This gives me a bit of hope... My original date was 11/15-11/17 and changed to 11/29. I know where my Maverick has been for the last 10 days... 100 miles from me, but not at the dealer yet..
