I'm new here. Granger and Flood are Ford dealers? What is the advantage buying an extended warranty from them rather than my local Ford dealer?
Thanks.

so they are the costco and sams club of warranties?Price.
Any Ford dealer can sell you an EV unless you live in like Florida or California I wanna say. Those states require you to buy in-state. Ford sells the EV to the dealers who then mark it up, some ore than other. Places Like Granger mark it up very little, hoping to make it up by selling a lot of them.
Like all insurance , not unless you use it!Extended warranties are never 'worth it'.
Sort of, and I found their price for the warranty very reasonable. Given what even a minor service/repair costs these days I think it is absolutely "worth it" if you plan to keep your vehicle 6-8-or more years. Be sure to get the day one rental and "bulb replacement" coverage too, they cost additional peanuts and cover you even more. I used my Ford points to cover part of the cost and went for the interest free 18 mo pay plan, so the cost is not noticeable. JMHO.so they are the costco and sams club of warranties?
The fact these extended warrantys even exist is a sad commentary On the long term reliability of a vehicle. They never used to be offered, or needed. I think they are a money grab, but its your money,if it gives you peace of mind,go for it!My XLT Hybrid Maverick's 3rd birthday is today so my 3 Year Warranty has ended. Is it worth purchasing the Extended Warranty? Have 26,000 miles over first 3 years, do take a 4,000 miles trip each Spring so Roadside Assistance is a little plus. Biggest concern is can the local non-Ford dealer mechanic service the Ford product without access to the diagnostic software. Never had Extended Warranty on any other vehicles...but my dealer charges $90 for any service requiring accessing the computer system, even if nothing is found wrong.
Your thoughts?
If I'm still driving (you never know) I'll trade it in for the newest Maverick with the "Flying option"!should extend it another 8 years to make it to your 100th birthday!
Just type in Granger Ford and that will get you to there web site. Can anyone give contact info for Granger and Flood? And are their warranties honored nationwide ?
Wrong......I purchased a $2205 ESP warranty 5 yrs 125 K $50 deductible for my Edge. From Ziegler Ford FL . @ 61K New trans Bill was $6800......2 other repairs totaling $1800. Most Ford dealerships charge over $200 hr labor. Still have 1 yr and 20 left on the warranty.Extended warranties are never 'worth it'.
Sounds like it but all vehicle manufacturers are having a very difficult time with the secondary suppliers of software driven electronics...and having to replace expensive components...mfgers like Ford did not make. I'm a long time Honda fan, but their reliability has really gone downhill in the last 10 years....with them admitting most of their slide in reliability is from 3rd party supplied electronics, like air-bags.The fact these extended warrantys even exist is a sad commentary On the long term reliability of a vehicle. They never used to be offered, or needed. I think they are a money grab, but its your money,if it gives you peace of mind,go for it!
New trans at 61 k is very uncommon.Wrong......I purchased a $2205 ESP warranty 5 yrs 125 K $50 deductible for my Edge. No its not......I work @ a FoMoCo dealership in service and see this all the time. If not a trans it can be a EcoSport engine.New trans at 61 k is very uncommon.
