Just shy of a year ago, in Jan. '24, I bought mine cash for exactly $35K out the door. 2024 XLT FX4 AWD, 2.0L.

My '25 XLT AWD Hybrid Mav has arrived at the dealer! I've got the MSRP X-Plan pricing (through work) and I'm wondering if that's what I should expect to pay. (+Tax/Title - Not a first responder, Vet, etc)
I'm not buying any add ons and I've lived without a car for some time to save up and pay cash.
But, I'll finance if I can save $.
Is MSRP w/ X-Plan what to expect on my 2025 XLT Hybrid AWD? Thanks for sharing your advice.
If you are paying X-plan the price is explicitly stated, doc fees are limited. That is what you pay.

You could have stacked a farm bureau $500 discount on top as well but have to be a member for 30 days so you won't qualify.

Window sticker for my Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid is $40,470 and I am paying $38,883.xx + doc, (tax on $17,883 after trade) and title.

granger ford. here's my order.
2200 off msrp, and if you become a Illinois farmer bureau now, if you pick it up, you'll be able to use a 500 off code, so ie. 2700 off. (it cost 20 bucks to join) takes 30 days before you can make a certificate.

downfall- just a 198 dollar plane ticket, and a 8 hour drive home, and well a multi month wait. but whatever. at least I'll get my vehicle when the Nasty weather is passed

This is great info. Thanks for sharing. This is almost the order I want (minus the fancy paint, tonneau cover and bed extender), so it really helps give me an idea for the out-the-door ballpark.

thats not including tax just fyi. but yeah, I shopped around everywhere, no one would come below msrp, and had the same wait times, so why would I go to a dealer that doesn't have a reputation instead of going to granger which everyone recommends.

but by all means, id ask for a quote from granger, take to local dealers, I did and they told me pound sand lol, so they gave my business away to granger, if they would of met me somewhere lower, I may of considered but nope.

the 2700 im saving, im putting 1850 for 7 year 100k warranty. cry once, but if I ever need it, I have it. that should cover my worries for another 7 years driving worry free.

It is hard to believe you got $1500 off for being a veteran. Maybe it is just your dealer, but the dealers I have had did not offer this unless I was active. Times change I guess.
I said that in my post, was it not clear ? or worded badly ?

dude I just mapped out KC to Iowa, you're only 3 hours.

DEF GO GRANGER! I would have zero doubt, id still shop around, but holy hell. thats half my distance. I still consider it worth it. all day. they will pick you up from airport if you dont want to drive there or have a ride

I have been seeing MSRP and in some cases a little under.

It seems a lot of dealers have finally caught onto the fact that people don't like fighting over new vehicle pricing and are fine just "ordering" a vehicle and paying MSRP to have a good experience. The average consumer today is far more educated on their purchase and has likely been online a dozen times to look at it before buying. It is hard to demand more than that online price now that the pandemic is long in the rearview.

The smart dealers are also plenty aware of the impending implosion of their business model. The major manufacturers are done with the dealer model and want to shift to direct sales. Something I bet it will happen within the next decade. At that point dealers are going to rely on used vehicles and service centers.

I digress,

Broadly speaking, the entire car market is correcting and the days of massive markups and car flips for profit are gone/fading. This is being seen at the auctions across every price segment. EVs have been getting murdered on the secondhand market.

I ordered mine, expect to pay MSRP. Will not pay bull fees over and above that, especially things like VIN etching, and an extra fee for not using their financing (I'm actually paying cash).

Ford has a quiet $750 incentive on ALL Mavericks, including 2025, through 31 March. Extended from last year. I keep getting annoying emails from them about it.

Give it a few months. Zero percent financing will be back. And bigger incentives.

I built my 2025 Maverick Lariat in August 2024, and the price on the paperwork from Ford is what I paid when I picked it up right after Christmas. I was asked whether I was an active duty military veteran, and since I was in the US Army Reserve and later the National Guard, I didn't qualify for a discount.

I paid msrp less $400, not sure what the discount was for, perhaps because I did not get the pro trailer assist.. Dealer I bought from does not do any add on's at all..

Dealer Invoice is less than MSRP, right? Do I have that wrong?
That's what I assume. MSRP = "Manufacter's Suggested Retail Price" or what Ford suggests dealers sell the vehicle for. Dealer Invoice is what the dealer actually pays.

I asked how they make their money and the salesperson mentioned "holdback", which I understand is a payment from Ford for vehicles sold in a given period. So, the dealer is letting me order a Mav at their "cost" but making their profit on a delayed payment.

Is there a business manager on this thread who can illuminate?
