Update: According to the memo below, this appears to impact Hybrids only with a build date in Dec. Wouldn't be surprised if this changes.

Per @fordvideoguy live stream, Dec scheduled 22 orders will be canceled and rolled to 23. Some options associated with lux pkg will be changed. More to come in memo tomorrow.

Edit 1: Add cancellation portion from Tim's live stream.

Edit 2: Official Ford Memo, thanks to user @jeffrol48197

Here is the Ford communication...
22MY Maverick Hybrid Order Cancellations
INFORMATION
22MY Maverick Hybrid Order Cancellations
ACTION REQUESTED
  • Certain scheduled 22MY Maverick Hybrid orders will need to be cancelled due to supplier shortages at 22MY Balance Out.
  • Affected 22MY Stock and Retail orders have had their scheduled build date pushed to December 12th and will eventually be cancelled by Ford Motor Company. All allocation will be returned to the affected dealers for 23MY production.
  • Be aware that Ford is working on a solution to transfer cancelled retail orders over to 23MY and will provide additional updates and instructions at a future date.
SUMMARY
We will be required to submit cancellations on certain scheduled 22MY Maverick Hybrid orders due to supplier shortages at the 22MY Balance Out. Primarily retail orders will be impacted by these balance out cancellations. Your Sales and Inventory teams will provide a list of each dealer’s impacted orders.
All allocation will be returned to the affected dealers as 23MY allocation in the coming wholesales. This replacement allocation will likely be provided over several months – not all at once.
Ford is working on a solution to automatically transfer over these 22MY cancelled orders to 23MY on the dealers’ behalf. When these orders are transfered to 23MY, we will plan to prioritize them ahead of other 23MY Hybrid orders pending other commodities restrictions. A future communication will be provided when we have final instructions on moving these orders to 23MY with any additional actions required.
TIMELINE AND KEY DATES
  • October 16: Affected 22MY Maverick Hybrid orders moved to December 12th build week
  • TBD: Affected 22MY Maverick Hybrid orders transferred to 23MY order bank and cancelled on the dealers’ behalf
  • Late October: Follow-up communication provided with additional actions/next steps
INCENTIVE & PRICE PROTECTION
Price Protection and Incentive Protection details will be communicated at a later date.

Edit 3: @fordvideoguy latest video explaining the 2022 cancelations

I do not think this should be a big surprise. The handwriting has been on the wall for the last two or three weeks minimum with the builds being moved back and back and back....................

Hopefully those involved with get, at least, the same deal those who have already rolled over have gotten, IF NOT MORE!!

Yes, I was pushed back to 11/14. @fordvideoguy is saying November weeks WILL get built as 22s, but I'm nervous. Will be interested to see what Ford puts out tomorrow.

As for anyone impacted by this change, I would hope @Ford Motor Company will be taking care of folks with FAR MORE than the private offer for pulling the rug out from under their feet!

I would think they get the same rebate offer and he said they'll get priority 2 immediately.

The main concern he mentioned so far is how are the 22 options impacted during rollover since they changed and if you have a color that is canceled.

A priority 2 is great.....unless you have a vehicle with constraints, like a hybrid. You can sit on Priority 2 for quite some time. Make sure you also have a dealer priority 10 as well.

What if you had Veolcity Blue color, or you are losing other options such as things removed from luxury packages for 2023. Ford should sweeten the pot for those who have been given VINs, were assured the trucks were being built only to now be told they are cancelled, losing color, losing options, etc.

It's just POOR, POOR customer service!

What prevents them from making a 23 with one of the colors not available for ordering? Nothing, really...

EVERYONE said:
If You Have a VIN, You're Getting a 2022
For those of you that offered this pearl of wisdom with a pure heart, I bear no grudges. For those of you who chose it as a hill to die on, attacking fellow forum members for even suggesting that these unprecedented times may lead to unprecedented action, I hope you're a little more open-minded in the future. @93nighthawk has the receipts. 😅

-Sincerely, someone who just got notified his build week was pushed from 11/14 to 12/12.

Now if Ford closed the MY23 order bank in a few days because the response was so great and, I guess, meets or exceeds production capability, what are the chances for many of the new MY23 hybrid orders to be filled after more rollovers, mostly hybrids are now added to MY23 capacity. This is like falling dominoes, the ripple will go through out the MY23 model year.

Guess the order configurator will be crashing tomorrow, if not tonight.

They have to dedicate a paint line/booth to the model year colors when they change the production line over to MY23. They won't have a paint line/booth for an obsolete MY22 year color.
