Good day, Maverick Truck Club! I wanted to introduce myself and start a forum on my personal Maverick (called "Trucklet").

Background: I never thought the day would come where I owned a Ford product, as I am a Toyota Truck guy traditionally (see one of my builds at this link:
https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/jacobrippeys-1995-v6-swapped-tacoma-single-cab-build.464821/
That being said, a compelling product is a compelling product. When I saw the Maverick debut in 2021, I was obsessed. The obsession never died down either. After 4 failed attempts at buying a Maverick used, I stumbled upon one for sale in Arkansas. Flew out and drove it back to sunny Phoenix, Arizona.

About the Trucklet:
2022 XLT
Area 51
FX4
4K Tow
CP360
Lux package
Sunroof

Modifications:
Fifteen 52 Traverse MX Wheels
Small Lift Kit? (PO gave no info on this)
Falken Wildpeak A/T 245/70-17
Soft Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover
AZ Vanity Plate TRKL3T

Future Plans:
JJC Integrated Fog Lights with F150 Switch
JJC Rear Fog/Backup Lights
All Bolt ons (once powertrain warranty ends)
Go Fast Camper?

Anywho, I really am enjoying this little Trucklet thus far, and am excited for many more years of ownership. I will use this as a space to keep track of all modifications and happenings that one might find interesting. Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations! You'll like the Wildpeaks. I have them on my FWD hybrid and they worked great in snow last winter. Also good on gravel roads like my long steep driveway.

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new to me Maverick. I think you are going to be converted. Ford makes a good truck. Hope you will enjoy it for many years.

nice truck.

that's a substantial lift if you have 245/70-17 on it. it's probably the Superlift 2.5.

Welcome! Love the wheel tire combo! I too just recent got an Area 51 ‘22, also in love with it! Just finished the DD fog install with the F150 switch, totally worth it for my dark daily commute. Really fills in the sides and road, and having the factory button is icing on the cake.

Edit: Another perk, it really warms up the low beam as well (I went with the ambers). I’m a fan of warmer lights (interior, screens, you name it) as compared to the cold white. I’ll have to get a video at some point, maybe tonight.

I am a sucker for amber fog lights. Will install with Diode Dynamics SS3's on JJC brackets on the front (I have brackets, still need lights and switch) and will likely go Diode Dynamics SSC1 on JJC rear bumper brackets on the back.

I‘ve been a convert since I installed amber SSC2 Pro Combos on my bike, they were a real game changer on the country roads on my commute. Definitely upload pic of the SS3s once you have them installed! I can see myself liking the look of them over this kit, and the output is like 30% more as well if I’m not mistaken (for the fogs at least).

Don’t forget the pin for the BCM, if you haven’t found it yet. I may still have those forum pages pulled up somewhere….

Welcome to a much better forum!

And some positive encouragement: You can do it! You can leave that cult behind! 🤣

jk, nice taco and enjoy your Maverick. I suggest you pay special attention to your CV's, especially having bought a used one with a lift. They tend to fail on stock setups too and there is no real news of the issue being addressed at the factory. It still just happens randomly.

Good luck with whatever you do and welcome.

Truck is at the dealer currently for 6 recalls. Having them check the CV’s while it’s there.

My Mav is called "Trucklet", too, ever since I bought her in May! My husband named her, because he has a F-250 and my truck is so small, next to his. 😂

Contrary to your post, I never thought the day would come when I'd consider a Toyota either, but now I am. I have a need for a 7 passenger Hybrid, and Ford is not offering one. Toyota offers the 8 PAX Sienna Hybrid van, which would do everything I need it to do, and has a better tow rating than my Mav Hybrid. Unless Ford shows that new Maverick based van as a 7 passenger Hybrid Window van, Sienna will be my next vehicle purchase. Never thought I'd consider a foreign based vehicle. But here we are.

If it makes you feel better, the Sienna is manufactured in the US. You will be happy with it, if you can find one.

Even made in the US, it's still a foreign brand. That's always been a no-go for me.
