My Ford Maverick got t-boned by someone who passed a red light on the day I got it from the dealership. My insurance won't fix it but I want to fix it. So can it be fixed? is it possible? please help.

PS The guy who t-boned didn't confess and lied to the police (he said: I passed when I didn't have a green arrow). So he's insurance won't pay for it.
Sorry to hear this, it sucks, but it seems you are ok and that is good news!

I highly recommend a dashcam for anyone on the road! You can get one for like $30 now and that is the cheapest added insurance available.

I hate to say it but with the body, suspension and possibly structural damage plus the airbag I think they would probably total it. Hopefully not and I’m glad you’re ok.

Money can fix most anything. The Mav is a unibody frame. If that is bent in anyway it will take a special shop to be able to correct it. I'd would get 2-3 body shop quotes to see what the overall consensus is. Otherwise let the insurance total it and buy something else. Sorry this happened to you and that everyone involved is ok. Accidents just flat out suck.

If your insurance won't fix it, then cut your losses. It would be cheaper and easier to buy another one.

Look at the businesses around the accident scene. Ask if they have video surveillance and see if their video supports your claim. My acquaintance had to do that. Bank had the video of his accident. Good luck.

Sorry this happened! Anything can be fixed with enough money and effort.you have to decide if it's worth it to you.and if it will be safe after.ive been driving our caravan over a year after it was totalled from hitting a deer.it doesn't bother me how it looks,it drives fine.

Anything can be fixed. You might end up with a salvage title, greatly reducing the value of the truck.

Just me, but I certainly wouldn't get it fixed and keep it to drive.

Sorry this happened! Also, I wouldn't touch that truck. Going off those photos, don't waste your time or money to try and repair that. What we can't see is any structural damage and since new cars are meant to be sacrificial, it's likely there are some structural issues now. They make more every day and it's not a priceless heirloom vehicle. Let your insurance total it and get a new one. Safer and easier.

Man, looks just like mine (that I also picked up last week). I've been hyper-vigilant fearing exactly your case. So sorry it happened to you. I really like the tip for the dashcam, hadn't really given it much thought previously. With the amount of non-insured drivers...yeah, I may be looking more seriously into one.

Colorado uses 100% as the total loss threshold. The car is considered a salvage vehicle when the cost of returning it to a roadworthy condition is more than the cash value of your car. An insurance company may use a lower value to determine whether to total the car.
