RANCH brand "skyliner" 4" mid-rise shell in shadow black on my shadow black hybrid. $3200 installed at American Camper Shells here in SoCal. Interior LED and 3rd brake light wired in - side sliders/front slide&fold window - 6 week delivery. I felt like the mid-rise is the best fit for the Maverick - especially in darker colors - my hunch was correct in my opinion! Only a few more things to complete my Mav. I am 6'4" and the rear window opens far above where my head would ever be.

Looks nice, but I would worry about the pressure on those small washers breaking through the material. Maybe add something like a 1" by 3" plate to spread out wind pressure? In Wyoming, wind is a big concern anyway.

Maybe there is a metal backing plate running along the bottom below the carpet? Would be a pretty easy mod though like you say.
This is my favourite cover so far, I prefer the higher style, the low ones I would have to hunch hard to load. Plus the window looks like it lines up great with the truck rear window for a pass through.

Looks good. I don't think it would work in snow country. What would happen to snow and ice freezing/refreezing/expanding in between the cap and the Maverick's back window and cab?

Definitely something to consider. I live in a particularly windy area of SoCal so I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Since the front window of the cap folds down, you could probably insert an accordion type rubber gasket... Something I'll have to keep a lookout for

Looks great! Thats the exact one we are looking at except we need roof rails. There are a few companies that sell gaskets for the cab. We will get one mostly to keep the dust out but also to help with water intrusion.

Thank you for posting this since I also wanted a mid-rise shell on my Maverick. I wish this was posted about 2 weeks ago since I would have gone down and ordered the same thing. I am also in Southern California.

I ordered an A.R.E MX-series from Fuller and hope A.R.E. accepts the order soon. Maybe we can get together when mine is installed and do a side-by-side comparison for folks here on the forum?

It looks like there is water inside the bed. Is that before the top was put on?

Yes it was raining the whole 45 min drive to have it installed

Looks awesome! After seeing an image of the ARE MX I think I’ll go with the Ranch instead, question for you… does the weight of the shell level the truck out? I’m debating on getting a 1” leveling kit for the front of the truck, but if the shell will level it I won’t.

I was wondering the same thing. According to my very unprofessional measurements, and if the back was truly 1" higher than the front, the shell only sagged the back end 3/8". Font 34" back 34 5/8" from the ground thru the center of the wheel to the highest arch of the wheel well 🤷‍♂️

Anyone with a maverick currently that wants a top can add 200lbs to their bed and see what it will ride like.

Hey, I was discussing toppers with my wife for our Tremor order. We were comparing load heights for the roof(we are gonna get racks for it) to our Grand Cherokee and our Bronco. Any chance you could measure the overall height of your cap roof? She is now questioning the mid-rise vs the flat top for loading up there. We are always hauling a few pieces of lumber here or there.
