Every year I rent a cabin with a group of friends of mine for a long weekend, and this year my friend parked their 2001 Ford Ranger next to my 2023 Ford Maverick.

So of course I took some photos. Because as Maverick Truck Club users it seems like we're all compelled to do so when an old Ranger is parked next to our truck. So here you go.

I have had a couple of rangers, so It was like having the size of the old ones back, with a lot of upgrades!

I kept my 1997 Ranger 4x4 as a beater. Runs great still.

Now, That Ranger has a leak proof bed cover.
I miss my ext. cab 4.0 Ranger.
I still wish Ford would have sold the four-door Ranger that they sold in Mexico and Brazil.

When people ask how big the Mav is I say "about as big as the ranger fro. 20 years ago... or the f150 from 30 years ago.

I remember getting in the "back seat" of an extended cab ranger in the 90s. It was more of a slot for a toolbox than a seat.

i miss the foot shorter length and smaller turning radius of my single cab Ranger (I owned two). I don't miss much else about it.

Well, if I'm being honest, now and then I miss the manual transmission.

What a beautiful location! I've slept, eaten and driven in 47 of the 50 states. So, Airports and Just-Passing-Through don't count. I lack Idaho, Montana, and Wisconsin. I feel like I'm saving some of the best 3 for last! Got to get there!

I miss my smaller S-10 from years ago, too. Until I realize that I'd still want a 4-door car with a real back seat, if I still had a truck that small. The Maverick design is much more practical for my needs. It does everything I need, without having to keep 2 vehicles.

I had a 90 Ranger. My two boys were small and fit the jump seats fine. As I remember that floor had a bump neat the back which made tool box placement tuff.

Just returned from an extended RV trip towing a Maverick. Spent time in ID and MT mt biking but saw few Mavericks other than driven by visitors.

You'll enjoy hiking & camping thru these states.
