There are currently 21,212 total retail unscheduled orders as of 12/11/23.

Retail USOB: Is the current mix of retail orders in the unscheduled order bank (USOB) at the time the report was run. The report only looks at orders that are “clean”, meaning they do not have a compatibility error, material hold or on 99 priority code.

See the previous commodity report.

556 new orders from last week. Most appear to by Hybrid XLT. Tremors are still in rounding error territory and should be scheduled fairly quickly once scheduling resumes after the holidays.

Interesting that XL numbers went up even though XL ordering is supposed to be closed.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I wonder if Ford is allowing for orders to shift from one trim to another. That would likely be a @fordvideoguy or @KevCuRaoi question as I was also under the impression the XLs were closed out.

That said, we might be only ones watching it this close and Ford might have XLs closed on paper but not in practice as long as the numbers don't creep up to a certain point.

As far as I know, there are no order restrictions in WBDO. However, I would try to discourage XL orders at this point, because they are unlikely to schedule.

I placed my order for an XL trim Hybrid back on July 18th of this year. Still haven't been scheduled. Do you guys believe that people with similar orders to mine should be scheduled in March through July? Giving the high amount still to be built versus their capacities.

Question - Why is the "99 Priority Code" number increasing?

12/04/23 showed 7 and now on 12/11/23 it increased to 10.

Are there still MY23->MY24 orders still being rejected?

Short version: Maybe.

********

Long version: Mathematically, Ford could clean out their books before June if constraints aren't a factor. However, that ugly A-word is always a factor. If a dealer has no allocations remaining, then it doesn't matter if Ford can build it. They won't because that dealer cannot get any more to sell.

That said, demand is slowing. Hybrid and XL are the only two that have more orders remaining than were scheduled last week. Ford scheduled just over 5,000 EBs last week and there are only 4,000 EBs left to be scheduled but only scheduled 4,700 XL with 12,500 XL remaining to be scheduled.

And that XL order number is likely approaching Ford's total XL limit for the model year and so it will take the rest of the model year to build. So, I would not be surprised if after scheduling next month XL Hybrids are all that's left as Ford's last scheduling breakdown would indicate there is enough capacity to schedule every truck that isn't an XL Hybrid.

Tremors are still in rounding error territory
I hope that the Tremor's unpopularity does not cause Ford to forgo any plans for higher performance Maverick - ST, or whatever they want to call it.

I'm curious how the BS Badlands has been selling. I would guess percentage-wise way better than the Tremor, since it's the only Bronco Sport that comes with the 2.0 ecoboost and a fair number of people would value that over the 1.5. But the Tremor, to a lot of Maverick shoppers, may just look like a huge mpg hit for little gain.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the Tremor demand. Ford only ever planned to allocate 10% of their capacity to make it and they only just used up the retail orders. We won't really know if Tremor demand is lacking until stock Tremors are sitting for a while.

Sorry, am I missing something? The chart shows capacity at 10% and orders at 0% which might be not truly zero orders in USOB but fewer enough than 1% they have listed it at zero.

That is indicative of very low demand in general, but especially in comparison to other Mavericks.

Demand was always lower and might not be equal to F-150 Tremor demand. But most car buyers don't bother placing retail orders. If the Tremors sit for an extended period of time, then we know demand is down. But if dealers still sell their stock Tremors just as quickly as their retail ones, then there is no danger in Ford canceling that trim.

I ordered my XLT Lux-360 hybrid back in February, had it correctly rolled over and have still not been scheduled. Given that we see some people now receiving orders that are only 2 months old, something other than the totally fake allocation system seems to be broken.

How quickly would a Tremor order be selected for a build date? No rollover private offers allowed on Tremor is that right?
