Yesterday we pivoted from our Job 2 order - Lariat in Eruption Green with 4k tow, spray in liner and sunroof. Our original order was for the Eruption Greet Lariat was placed 11/17/24 and only learned about it being a Job 1 order about a month later after seeing Tim's video. So we placed a new order for same spec and that's the 3/17/25 build. The Job 1 order arrived 2/1/25 and so I was comparing that to this Ruby Red after I saw it on the lot. That Red was also a Special Order that someone declined.
We could have waited for our 3/17 build however with the looming tariff uncertainty I decided to get the Job 1 Lariat in Ruby Red with BAP. It was a tough call because 1) we wanted the 2x Pro features as expected when initially placing the order 11/17/24, and 2) I love the Eruption Green. The Ruby Red was impressive and with BAP I liked the black seats and accents better; might remove the hood stickers but for now I like the look. To boot, I pushed for the $300 discount that Tim talked about for not having the Job 2 features (despite the dealer saying they didn't show anything) + an additional $500 if I took it yesterday as a compromise to my order since I did not spec BAP. NET: Bird in hand won. During paperwork I declined the warranty for now but will get it eventually. Thankfully Walnut Creek Ford here in NorCal does not add markup or unnecessary options. our sales guy Dante and the team were great to work with and no pressure.
As soon as I got home I started adding some of the Mabett items I ordered from the holiday sale. Still a few more to put on like the fender well arches and door pull cubbies -- they seem really snug so I waited to do them later.
Lots to get familiar with still. First up, how to keep in electric mode as long as possible before triggering the motor to come on.
