Yesterday we pivoted from our Job 2 order - Lariat in Eruption Green with 4k tow, spray in liner and sunroof. Our original order was for the Eruption Greet Lariat was placed 11/17/24 and only learned about it being a Job 1 order about a month later after seeing Tim's video. So we placed a new order for same spec and that's the 3/17/25 build. The Job 1 order arrived 2/1/25 and so I was comparing that to this Ruby Red after I saw it on the lot. That Red was also a Special Order that someone declined.

We could have waited for our 3/17 build however with the looming tariff uncertainty I decided to get the Job 1 Lariat in Ruby Red with BAP. It was a tough call because 1) we wanted the 2x Pro features as expected when initially placing the order 11/17/24, and 2) I love the Eruption Green. The Ruby Red was impressive and with BAP I liked the black seats and accents better; might remove the hood stickers but for now I like the look. To boot, I pushed for the $300 discount that Tim talked about for not having the Job 2 features (despite the dealer saying they didn't show anything) + an additional $500 if I took it yesterday as a compromise to my order since I did not spec BAP. NET: Bird in hand won. During paperwork I declined the warranty for now but will get it eventually. Thankfully Walnut Creek Ford here in NorCal does not add markup or unnecessary options. our sales guy Dante and the team were great to work with and no pressure.

As soon as I got home I started adding some of the Mabett items I ordered from the holiday sale. Still a few more to put on like the fender well arches and door pull cubbies -- they seem really snug so I waited to do them later.

Lots to get familiar with still. First up, how to keep in electric mode as long as possible before triggering the motor to come on.

What color is the interior trim with the black edition? I really like your color but I don’t care for it with the blue trim interior

Every trim gets the navy pier blue, even ones with the BAP. (It's the only way to get black seats and those amazing hood decals)
Only a few places have differing accent trim inserts. (Door handles and vents)

Not loving the hood stripes. Looks good otherwise. I went with the red too, just skipped the BAP.

I waited and got my extended warranty for my 2021 Bronco sport in the 35th month before the factory warranty expired.
Cost me $2400 to 100,000 miles.
By buying the warranty when I took my Maverick home I saved $400
Total cost $2,000, still to 100,000 miles.

I'm living with it for the moment but likely will remove soon. I was not set on BAP at all but did like the black interior over the blue with oyster in the Eruption Green. It just seemed to clash.

Was it the Granger Warranty? Also, which level of protection did you opt for?

Ford's ruby red might be one of the better car colors out there. It's just so beautiful. Used to have it on my F150 before I got my Maverick, definitely wish I could have it again!
Had a F150 in Ruby red now got a 24 Mav in HPR(wife’s) and a 23 mav in carbonized gray(mine) which was wife’s until I traded my 22 AWD mav in cactus gray for the 24 then wife said the new 24 was hers so I ended up with the 23 mav that had 10K miles on it. Both are hybrid lariats she just liked the HPR better, which I agree is better looking than the carbonized gray. I’ve been trying to convince her to let me trade the 23 for a 25 AWD hybrid. No luck so far.

Re the black hood decals, very easy to peel off.. I live in AZ and after sitting in the sun (75 degree day) for a few hours, they pulled right off.. did not even need a heat gun.. Doubt it took over 10 minutes to do it..

Thanks for the tip. It does sound much easier than I thought.
