If a week goes by that someone doesn't post a thread with this exact title, for the same thing, I'll be shocked. ;) I think this is the second time this week! :ROFLMAO:

The owners manual is a wonderful thing, it tells you about your vehicle. Seriously.
To be fair, if you didn't already know it was related to the fuel door it would be nearly impossible to find that in the manual just by browsing. Can't just look up "green thingy" in there :p

Minor point of curiosity. During my first week of owning my 2023 Lariat I was looking at something in the wheel well and noticed this plastic clip attached to one of the edges. It will pull out about 8".

My very un-sophisticated wild guesses include 'something left behind accidentally at the factory' to 'it allows you to pull a wire through for some aftermarket modification.'

oh, and by the way; my thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge about trucks in general & Mavericks in particular. I've learned a lot from reading this forum over the last three weeks.

So Mavericks harbor secrets?
I had a RV and on its forum often times other owners would discover a feature, or function unknown to many of us other owners. And the manuals so so, lacking good info. So when I seen a posting by others, I would imply, LoL, on the forum “Ah, another secret!”

I found 2 levers beside the drivers seat. And found 1 permits seat back adjustments. The 2nd one, I pulled, nothing happened. So I pulled harder, and suddenly felt the seat rise. Well, surprised, this lever raises and lowers the seat. Clever I’d say.

Hence, let’s expect more secrets. Or queries. In spite the manuals. I did real the manual, find it somewhat intimidating on certain aspects of the controls. And for that seek other avenues of assistance.

Like this forum.

Seriously though...watch you tube videos of guys doing walk arounds of the trucks. You can find out alot that way. Maybe not drive modes and coaching so much but items you may have questions about.

Yes, you are correct. My guess is because so many people are [finally] getting their 23 Mav's, they haven't been following this forum closely or at all until their trucklet arrived and are now poking around that beautiful piece of steel parked in their driveway.
Having read a bit on here, and seeing many discuss how long they wait for their trucks, I'm guessing my story is a bit unusual (tho not unique) in that I heard about Mavericks, read a bit, drove to the nearest dealer, they were unloading one that had been ordered but the buyer chose a different model, so I bought it. Total wait: 2-3 hours while the paperwork was done. My first new vehicle since a 125cc Honda motorcycle I bought in 1980...
