I took it through the Auto Bell automated cleaning tunnel on Sunday and there was a bit of water in the bed; it's unlikely I'll be encountering many storms that intense, but if it starts to be a problem I know where to research it! This is a great place to learn about this truck.
There's a shaded area of the windshield, just ahead of where your rearview mirror is. The camera is in that area. I learned that when, on the first really frosty day, I scraped everywhere I could easily reach, missing that area, and got warnings from the truck...
My Maxima fob, which does the same tasks as the Mav fob, is much smaller. I wasn't kidding about it being nearly as big as a phone, either. Here it is next to my backup phone, a Nokia flip. Admittedly, the fob has a leather case, but it's not making it that much bigger.
I've seen threads on this site about a tool called FORScan. With the right wiring, app, and a Windows laptop, you can adjust many of the computer settings on the truck. I do not know if this is one of those settings, but do some searches and be prepared to read a LOT of threads!

Ordered from the Leonard dealership in Rock Hill, SC on Dec. 9, installed on Jan. 26, total out the door was $3,431.55. I'm happy with it! I got the sliding windows with screens on the sides, and a 'drop hatch' window in front so I can clean the back window on the cab, but everything is so dark...
I have those same covers for my fobs; they reduced the false alarms (and I think they look great!), but not enough, so I took a slice out of a plastic milk jug and made up a 'guard' to fit on the face of the fob, with a gap around the panic button, creating a sort of airgap between the leather...
I'll likely use this idea but on the buttons (like the drive mode button) down on the console between the seats. About 5 minutes after I figured out what those buttons were for, I started wondering why they put no tactile indicators on them...
Curious if you ever learned more about how to suppress the autolamps. I found this on the online version of the manual, and it seems to say that the daytime lamps don't turn on until the truck is in Drive, but I've no way to confirm the change personally, since I can't put it in drive and watch...
Pascal, that's a great build. I'm glad I watched the video; you've got some truly thoughtful design and great execution of the ideas here. I love how you repurposed the bed cover! The nesting/sliding bed frame is really nice. I wonder if you could have the slide-out portion full-width?
I really like the ideas in this thread, particularly the setup for hauling 4'x8' stock, and will set that up eventually. For groceries, I am trying this idea, using a nylon strap I had on hand. I threaded it through the 'bottle openers' near the tailgate and put some old hooks and large...
