Quick Question: what the device is that's located on the driver's side lower area?

I just took possession of my BRAND NEW Ford Maverick XLT AWD. I have misplaced my owner's manual. Can someone tell me what the device is that's located on the driver's side lower area/ It appears to be some sort of sliding element.....

If you have the tow package, it’s gonna be the trailer brake controller

Thank you for your very quick response!!! I do have the 4k Towing package on my Maverick and I'm glad I have this option to adjust trailer brakes if needed.....
