I have a 25 XLT with the 225/55-19 tires the same Goodyears as the Lariat. I was concerned about ride quality as my wife has an Escape which has the same size tires and has always ridden a little harsh. Happy to report that the Maverick rides very nicely compared compared to the Escape. I will be putting the Goodyears on the Escape next time it needs tires!
It’s the Mavericks 121” wheel base vs the Escape that has a 106.7” wheel base.
That alone is the biggest comfort factor bar none.

Just my opinion at age 82, my 24 XLT LUX, FX4, 4K Tow rode smoother than my 24 Lariat Hybrid did.

There are many factors that determine how "smooth" your Maverick rides. Being an XLT or a Lariat is not one of them....

True...But I don't believe that's why he's asking. "In general"....which one typically rides smoother...the XLT or the Lariat. Tire pressure and road conditions aside....if equal...it's a fair question. You ALREADY have people above say their XLT rode smoother than their Lariat. :like: :like: :like:

One of the main reasons for the "stiffer" ride of the 19" tires is that the tire fitted to the truck is an "extra load" version....tends to be a less "compliant" ride over bumps and such.

Model is not relevant to the question.

Which girls are cuter, girls named Brianna or girls named Audrey?

I had a 22 Lariat and bought a 25 XLT. Ride seems about the same but noise level in the cab is considerably INHO. Not sure if it is the switch from Michelin to these tires or the acoustic windshield in the Lariat. Probably both, but I think it is mostly road noise from the different tires.

Its probably a tossup. The 22-24 Lariat has Michelins that typically are a smoother ride than the Contis on the 22-24 XLT, but the Lariat also has larger rims giving you a lower sidewall height that gives you less sidewall flex and that will translate into a bit harsher ride. The sidewall problem gets even worse with the 25 models and their even lower profile tires and them being Goodyear tires that would not be as smooth as the Michelins. The noise-insulating windshield and a couple of other pads will probably make the Lariat sound like its smoother though.

uhm . . if you have to ask whether the Irish lass or another is cuter . . . might I suggest checking into celibate orders?

🤔
