Reviving this as I have noticed that ECOBOOSTS AND HYBRIDS have different codings for the battery config elsewhere in the BCM.

726-02-01

ECOBOOSTS : 0F0F - XXXX - XX--
HYBRIDS: 0707 - XXXX - XX--

Anyone have insight on why? and how changing this would effect the battery?

The BMS (Battery Management System) is where the actual battery information is stored. That will self learn any time a new battery is connected on most systems that is 8 hours in sleep mode with the doors locked and key off.

The BMS also has a hard off setting for the auto stop start system. The way to disable it is to hook up a bad battery to the truck, start it, you may also have to set the ASSS on too but the the BMS will disable it as a feature and not a flaw. Put the good battery back on and the ASSS will be permanently off until you do a reset of the BMS.

So has anyone changed the battery setting from AGM to Flooded on a hybrid to match the battery type installed? What benefit did you see?

My 22 hybrid keeps the 12v about 60%.
Annoying, but the truck starts every day as the hybrids don't need cranking amps. Just 12 volts to feed the computers.
🤷🏻‍♂️
Thanks for info. My 12 on my hybrid does start everyday. never went to sleep mode. Got truck in nov. of 23. Got message week ago saying battery low after I had stopped the engine and for about 7 or 8 minutes had the door open.
My Volts usually read 12v in the morning start up, sometime 11.95

The 12 volt battery is label as 390cca.

I keep dome lights off always and instrument panel always turned to lowest point, hoping this prevent battery from going really low. Don't know if that helps any.

I would like dome lights and instrument panel lights illuminated at normal level. Can I turn this back on?

You made a curious statement, curious because I just don't know a lot about batteries.
You said "Hybrids don't need cranking amps, just volts" Does that mean the 12v battery doesn't do the starting of the engine, because the hybrid battery does it. If so then I won't consider 12v reading signifying soon to be battery death.

My family has flooded battery even though much older always reading about 12.35 in moring when not running.

Some say the maverick hybrids need agm battery type

Correct.

The 12v runs things like the lights when the truck is not started. The 220v hybrid battery starts the truck, then provides power to everything after the truck is started by converting 220v to 14.8 volts.

What technology! Thank you. I will save this info. This does encourage me that the 12v battery is not on its way out.

Got my maverick 11/23. The 12 battery had about 12.35 volts while sitting prior to driving in morning for a while. But now is registering 12v in morning. While running battery shows about 14.5 volts.
I tested several times. Same results.

Any idea why battery is losing it's power (use to be 12.35 now 12v? Have original battery, the one with 390cca

There's tons of threads. Thousands of messages on this.

The short answer:
This is an "economy" truck.
We got a very low cost, low quality stock 12v battery. Ford figured it would be "sufficient" because the 12v battery does very little work.

That said, it's not great for running things like the lights and radio when the truck is NOT running.

Run all the power accessories you want when the truck is started.

Run least possible when the truck is not started.

Some folks find it beneficial to charge the 12v one a month with a grid power (plug-in charger).

I don't believe it a Ford issue. There have been alot of batteries that were sitting because of the pandemic. They eventually make there way into the marketplace. When a battery sits it will sulfate. Now you have Mavericks with a partially sulfated battery that only charges to 60%. It is inevitable that it will fail after a year.
Other manufactures were having the same issue with dead pandemic batteries.
