I was just wondering with all the negative threads about a Maverick hybrids That if you have one or own one would you buy a hybrid again yes or no ?
If I had a perfectly clean slate and could design my own personal Maverick, it would be a little different but it would definitely, absolutely, positively be a Hybrid.

FORD hybrid? No.

I had an Escape Hybrid and it's issues/recalls were the main reason I chose the EB Maverick. At this rate though, I'm not sure I'd buy a FORD ever again, but I have no brand loyalty and I'm not hating on them, just call it how I see it. No real issues with my EB... Yet...

Just waiting to see what the market offers in the next 5 years. Camry Hybrids are looking real nice. That's a redesign I was waiting for. Subaru for whatever reason refuses to join in, likely because they can't get better mpg with their all time AWD setups? Not sure I'd buy another Subaru either. But my only complaint with my previous RAM was that I sold it and my Tacoma just wasn't updated enough for the recent price tag they are asking. I gave up features a 2016 RAM had and for the cost it didn't make sense, the more I drove it the more I found to just be "missing". So who knows...

At this rate I might just buy a helicopter next. All manufacturers currently pretty much suck.
Had a 2007 escape hybrid. Drove for 5 years and have to my son. He drove it for 8 more years and put total 225k mile. Put in when bearings a wheel speed sensor and 2 sets brakes. He sold it after that. Just lucky I guess

BTW Only change I would ask for is a hybrid AWD system. Put another motor on the rear and maybe another battery? (Twice the recharge on braking, twice the push to get going and would help traction a lot).

Yes, had mine for just about 2 years now, 15,150 miles, overall 40.xx MPG, no problems other than recalls, it is what I hoped it would be.

YES

Checks all the boxes for my needs in a vehicle. I'm going on 50'000 KMs and it's still smooth. it has enough power to accelerate quick. Ford's 2.0L hybrid system has been proven reliable and it comes with an 8 year warranty.

Agreed, lots of negative threads on here... Many recalls, to me it was to be expected with 1st year. I think it depends how your dealer treats you.

Yes for the hybrid with a bullet. I have a 2023 XLT black..with 10k and ordered the same truck..with lariat package ..moon roof..black appearance..it’s here in Scottsdale as we speak..arrived yesterday..gonna do the deal with my guy at Ford 1/2/24 to get his family D plan.. the trade in amount is sticker..or around 30k for my truck..excited for the xtra features on the Lariat..but I like the XLT just fine.

How about two little motors and no differential? To my thinking the motors don't have to be big, just enough to get you out of a jam. After all the Mav isn't a big time stump jumper. I'm visualizing getting around on snow days or towing.

Even if Ford lowered the price to $15k out the door in all 50 states and had every possible color combo/trim level on every dealer lot with no wait times, I wouldn't buy one (if I had to keep it and not sell it).

They simply break down too fast and have too many issues. Mine spent 4 of the 6 months I owned it at the dealer's service department and they still never fully fixed it. I drove an embarrassing 100hp 21mpg 3 cylinder Blue Ecosport POS loaner longer than I did my Maverick after the first ecosport they gave me overheated in 45 degree weather.

The Hybrids are plagued with faulty wire harnesses, drivetrain issues, electrical problems, recalls, etc.

The ecoboosts are a bit more reliable but the only ones I've seen with over 70kish miles so far had to have the transmission replaced/fixed or the axles changed at least once.

%70 of the Mavericks owned by members on this forum would be considered lemons in most states' lemon law text judging by the frequency and consistency of reported problems and issues by members here. It seems every other thread now is "dead battery, dealer replaced battery, car died again a week later with deep sleep mode fordpass app notifications (indicating a parasitic drain caused by a faulty wire harness that the dealer techs don't know how to trace and fix so they just keep replacing your battery)".
Reconsidering making my purchase if iT ever gets built.

Water leaks and mold??
Yea, some of us have a leaking windshield cowl. This makes the passenger floor soaked and mold will develop in a day or two if you do not notice it. Trying to remove the mold is impossible without ripping everything out.
