“But hit a deer with that attached to the Maverick sheet metal and you will have a LOT of work to do to the front end.....”

Yes, but hit a deer without that attached to the Maverick and you will also have a lot of work to do to the front end.

He has the Roush 2 inch strut lift kit. I wouldn't say that is beefing it up..

Do you need to ballast in the bed so the backend doesn’t flip up!
Definitely will push stuff out of the way

It is custom....and yeah, after hitting numerous deer, pigs, small animals on the highway, I can drive with a little more piece of mind...
Just curious, is it bushed at all? Obviously without pictures I cant make any recomendation about how to add bushings to the mounts. But wither way I would definitely look into adding bushings if you have not already. We know how quickly the rear frame wrinkles, and I imagine that is a pretty rigid bumper design. A mild deer impact on either side offset could leverage against solid mounts giving you a wrinkle up front that would take alot of stump yankin to straighten out.

Otherwise looks great, vented etc. Did you build it yourself? I built a few serious bumpers over the years. Its so fun. Enjoy!

Oh yeah leaf spring bushing are a good style of durable bolt hole bushings. Use the cheap stock type ones off something small like a trailer. For forward mounting styles you can just use shock post or sway bar link bushings and washers.

145 lbs RoughCountry 2" lift with 3/4" spacer
If you still got em you should weigh all the old equipment to give folks a straight number. Even if it was only 20lbs. Thats a good difference. Could probably drop another 5 or 10lbs with lightening holes, then just fill em with truck stop plasti-chrome bits or whatnots. If that happened to be your style.
