Get Motorcraft on Amazon for about 6.00

I would not buy anything from amazon that has Motorcraft on the box. 99% of everything there are counterfeit Chineseium. Including Spark Plugs, Air Filters and just about anything that says its Genuine Motorcraft. Please see the following Link to all the information

Yes, thats what the substrate is, the filtering media. I like the thicker metal because not every car has a shield on the bottom to protect the filter. Ive seen rocks hit inferior filters and grenade an engine.

I hear good things about Wix oil filters but it seems every picture online has different inlet hole shapes and sizes such as the unit I picked up today locally. Says made in America.

Are folks ok with these smaller inlet holes ?

Some folks are reporting now made in China. This post was kind of a heads up as some being counterfeit.

yep the one on the left clearly looks like a poor copy. looks nothing like your filter in 1st post.

Again, I do not trust any auto parts coming from Amazon. THey do not vet their suppliers like RockAuto or AutoZone or NAPA or Federated or Quest or Advance. Never buy auto parts from Amazon. 99% are chinesium counterfeit parts. Hard to tell but I posted this that might help all of us: LINK

Not saying that. But maybe...... Just things like filters and spark plugs and yada yada yada..........Just be safe. I have received Counterfeit Filters........ But being a smart butt does not help anyone (you). But ya. Please drink up. Let us know if you taste a difference in the fluid from Ford Dealer or Amazon.

A smart butt ? Relax - Yes lots of hard parts are straight up fake. I bet that gear oil is yummy like my BarelyWine -)

I've bought on Amazon before. I guess an inspection is order but I've never encountered an issue like this. Sad to see really. Usually with stuff like that you can easily tell... then again, not everyone knows the difference and some knock-offs are dangerously close. Usually the packaging alone is a dead giveaway. I think it boils down to the seller though.
