Read along time ago that Fram made filters for a lot of other different ‘companies’ that were sub par, you have your own opinion that’s fine, just stating what I read researching oil filters by Fram, Purolator, Wix, Pennzoil, etc. etc., Ya, prolly before you were born tho! I know, things change, irregardless it’s in my memory, so if you want to put me down here just to make yourself look big, fly at her!

a number of years back I went and bought a filter cutter and rounded up a bunch of different manufactures filters all for the same vehicle and after cutting open the fram filter, swore to never buy a fram filter ever again. many of the quick change places filters used to be made by fram, and still may be.

I plan on dusting off the cutter and opening up the break in filter from my hybrid and see what I find.
