Just installed 17x7.5 Ford Fusion alloy wheels with new Toyo GSI 6 winter tires on my wife's 2023 Lariat.
I was little concerned after realizing the studs on the Maverick are 14 mm and the Fusion is equipped with 12 mm studs.
However the wheels slid over the studs, albeit tight, but worked. I did have to purchase new nuts, as the Maverick nuts would not seat properly in the narrower openings for the studs.
All in all, very pleased with the result -- the wheels I selected come on 2013-2016 Ford Fusions -- The TPS sensors were still on the Fusion wheels, but do not mate with the Maverick's electronics -- which I can live with.
Any suggestions on getting the Maverick to read the Fusion sensors would be welcomed.

Maverick has the same lug nuts and torque as an F-150. These puppies are supposed to be torqued to 150 ft lbs. Fusion wheels? I don't know if that's a problem or not but I wouldn't run passenger car wheels on Maverick.

Yin? Meet yang, snapped today. Winter wheelset. Used 2023 Maverick XL Wheels and lugs, new Michelin X-ICE snow tires. Standard issue, all rated for the weight. It's been a 100 miles, time to re-torque the lug nuts.

I put my spare set of 18" Bronco Sport wheels on the Mav for the Winter. No issues switching.

The Batteries in the TPMS sensors may be expired life is about 10 years or 125-150k miles. Some batteries turn of if wheel is not move for several minutes. Spin wheels and then match them to truck. Some report that they will automatically be matched after driving for a few miles.

Sounds like if the wheel uses a conical lug nut it's still compatible with the bigger XLT lugs. Fusion or Bronco sport, etc. would work as long as the wheel can handle the extra torque. Probably doesn't matter as much a I think it does as long as you re-torque the lugs.

Thanks for the TPMS information - I wasn't aware that the sensors had "batteries".
Getting wiser by the minute ...

Thanks Tom -- we've put 300 kilometers on the snow tire/wheel combo - so far so good.
I checked the torque on the nuts and no issues -- will check them again next week.

I put the same Michelin X-Ice on 5-spoke alloys, and am waiting for snow to see how they compare to Bridgestone Blizzaks, Firestone Winterforce and Pirelli Scorpions

You will need to sensors for the Maverick if you want them to work. They run a different frequency. Usually only a few years at a time. These 2022 Bronco Sport wheels matched up perfectly to my 2023. I used a set of Mustang lugs that I took off my 2018 to mount these.
