Windshield Squeak Fix?

As many on here, mine is squeaky as hell. My question is this, can the windshield simply be taken out and resealed/put back in and it go away? I know some have said it went away when they got a new windshield. That's why I am asking. I have a friend who does windshields and he said maybe it work but he wasn't sure.

Warranty replacement/reseal would be the easiest. But it sucks going back to the dealer.

Is this something warranty is covering? I haven't read one way or another. I am going to dealership next week anyway, I will get someone to ride with me.

I got a rock chip replaced the window it went away turns out water was getting in there as well as a rubber boot wasn't put in correctly.















Dealerships just blow you and heat makes it go away for a short while

I've never experienced this myself personally. DId you by chance try to bend the wipers back without engaging them and stopping midstream?

What do you mean? I haven't heard of this.

Let's say that you're prepping the car for an ice storm, and you're thinking of bending the wiper blades away from the windshiled. You can't perform this while the wipers are at rest, or you will bend the blade arms. You have to start the wipers with engine on, then turn the engine off while the wipers are wiping. It's because of the arms being tucked away inside the hood of the car. Check your manual for a better explanation.

No, I haven't ever messed with the wipers on my truck. I knew they wouldn't raise up in the off position, so I don't bother. I park under a carport in my driveway, no need.

I have the exact same issue with my Maverick…seems to be dependent upon how warm the glass gets. Sunny day no issues. Colder day no sun it squeaks. I’ve brought into the dealership twice. Neither time they have done anything for me. It’s very frustrating.

I am actually going to the dealer tomorrow to get someone to ride with me. My service writer is a good friend and he even knew what I was talking about when I told him, so we will see what they find out. But I have other rattles too, I just hope they present themselves tomorrow while we are test driving.

I have a squeaky windshield also. It's been squeaking since the day I brought it home. Mine also seems to be related to the weather. I took mine to the dealership and they claimed there's nothing they can do unless Ford issues a TSB. I had a few other problems also (popping noise while turning, infotainment screen regularly stops outputting audio and must be reset, and a bouncing hood at interstate speeds). They didn't fix any of it. It's so frustrating.

My previous vehicles stopped squeaking when I used Rain-X or NuFinish polish on the windshield, though these weren't permanent fixes.

Mine is at the dealership now. The master tech rode with me and heard it and the other rattle I have in the B pillars. They are going to dig into mine and see what/if anything can be done. I told him to check this forum, and he already knew about it as he wanted to order a Hybrid back in September but missed the cutoff by one day. So he is aware of some of the issues.
