Windshield cracks often

I have a 22 Maverick, I have had to put 3 windshield in and 5 small cracks repaired. Anyone else having issues? Just fyi I don't tail gate. This from other cars passing from opposite sides

I also have a 22 Maverick. I have the Lariat trim with the acoustical windshield. I have been driving my Mav for 2 years 11 months with no windshield replacements or crack repair. Which trim do you have?

I have a 22 xlt and I'm already on my second windshield, and this one has a crack on both ends from rock chipsso I'll be replacing it at some point
This is the first vehicle I've ever had to replace a windshield on and I've owned over a dozen
Of course being in South Carolina doesn't help the cause, there are really bad roads here

I have a '22 Lariat. I have a ton of speckles in my windshield. I took it to the local Ford dealer, and they said the windshield isn't under warranty. During a sunny day here in Florida, I can really notice them. I'm contemplating just paying to get it replaced.

I've got a '22 XL AWD Ecoboost ....on 2nd windshield and this one is cracked with 3 little chips . The glass is crap .

I have had windshields replaced in past by insurance for glare from "sand" pitting, also from cracks in drivers vision area. After market sound deadening windshields are not much more, I was told by my glass supplier.

I have a 2024 Tremor Lariat purchased in May and have had to replace my windshield once.
My auto insurance has 100% glass coverage so not cost to me.
I'm used to having to replace windshields as our other vehicle is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler and I have replaced the windshield 3 times.
Before that we had a 2014 Wrangler and replaced the windshield at least 3 times.
My glass guy is on speed dial.

Over 2 years and 24 thousand miles with our maverick and not one chip or crack.

I have had my XL for over 13 months and 19,000 miles. I still have the original windshield, with no cracks. It does have a tiny non-spreading star where a rock hit it so loudly I thought a bullet hit it! I've had many vehicles over the years and have had many many windshields replaced in the past. I expect replacing the one in my Maverick will be inevitable. I also have a low deductible on windshield replacement, for that reason.

In the past, a guy who worked for a major auto glass company posted on MTC that the Maverick windshield was of normal thickness. And that it was of the same quality as other automobile glass. It's also been posted that the rake of the glass has something to do with it, with Jeeps being much worse.

Are you aware that the windshield on a Lariat cost $1300 if you have the Lux package, not sure if it's the same for trucks without lux package.

Same on my insurance. I recently had a rock chip on my 2022 lariat and went directly to my glass guy and had chip repair within 1.5 hours at no cost. Big plus is super detail cleaning inside and out of all windows so he could verify no other repairs needed.

I worked at an insurance company for 34 years. The first 8 years were in claims. I don't know of any insurance company that won't pay for glass chip repairs 100%, no questions asked, assuming you have comprehensive coverage (regardless of deductible). And no, it won't impact your premium. It should go without saying that you should have glass chips repaired immediately, to avoid cracking; at thar point, repairs are no longer an option.

'22XLT,30K miles almost 3 years old in CFLA and no chips(heard a lot of hard "tinks" )but so far no damage-plenty of sand blasting-got my fingers crossed
