With all of the other manufactures coming out with their Maverick knock offs, will our Mav's become collectable like the 1st edition Mustangs? The 1st edition Mustangs were not really a performance car, that came latter but they are collectable because of the craze that it started. Will our Mav's be the same? Especially if you have a 1st edition Lariat, with sun roof and whatever other options that makes your Mav unique. What does your crystal ball tell you?
Maybe after I'm dead!

Ingredients

  • 1 part beer (not a dark beer, but a light one, like a Bud, or Miller)
  • 1 to 3 parts 7-up or Sprite
😖
Now here is a drink I would never bring to my parched lips. 1. If it is a light beer it isn't a beer at all. 2. I can't drink either of the mixers so it doesn't matter if you put 1 part or 100 parts in with the non-beer beer. I wouldn't care for it.

Can’t believe this long and no photo for reference. I miss my 64 1/2 2+2. Unfortunately she lived her life in Indiana with no undercoating. Terrible demise with terminal rust. 289 V8. Original color was white with red interior. Changed the fuel pump with two wrenches while 8 months pregnant parked on the street where it went out. Can’t do that nowadays.

No. It's not a Toyota and it's a mass produced unibody pickup truck.
It'll be like the old Rangers; a small dedicated following but not worth a pile o' beans in 10 years, probably won't even get a stupid song....

The Maverick will be exactly like the early Mustangs. However the hybrids will all be used for rolling chassis to build up 2.3 and 2.7 hotrods.

64 1/2 Mustang prolly had less recalls and better build quality for the time period.

Think about it like this-is there a truly collectible minitruck?
The original Mini Pickup - they only made about 18,000 of them. Ones that haven't rusted away or got beat to death are fetching up to $48K:D.

I realize that some vehicles find a niche following. The topic is whether the Maverick will achieve the following that the Mustang has. I've talked to many vehicle owners over the years that are convinced that theirs is rare, desirable, and will be worth a fortune one day. It's simply not the same thing.

Yes, but you will have to wait about 28 years!
