Was reading up on current events and possible computer hacks. It made me to wonder how difficult it would be for vehicle computers to be hacked. I know the chances are extremely rare considering there are larger infrastructure targets. But, are there any safeguards for the Maverick overair update/ computer?

Yes and they can remotely control the heated butt wipers, it could be a pleasant suprise!

I would say the best defence against someone hacking it is to get a xl or non lux, non 360 xlt.
I honestly dont get why we need so much tech in the car. I would rather have my a spot for a computer and maybe a projected interface, than have the computer(other than basic FI, etc) be a part of the car. It just doesnt make sense to me.

This reminds me of Michael Hastings' death conspiracy theories.

Theoretically, yes.

Realistically, no.

I have it on good authority that if you put one of these on your truck, definitely not.
