I'm frustrated that my new Maverick (Hybrid XLT 2024) cuts off radio/interior lights after a short time, and that I can't even charge a phone without turning on the ignition. Could these things be changed using Forscan? AND since Forscan is above my pay grade... anyone near Athens, GA who could do this for a reasonable fee?

^ Exactly

I suspect you're experiencing a low battery voltage condition rather than the accessory timeout. The default timeout is 75 minutes, and I frequently run a 5 amp electric cooler with the ignition shut off for that long with no issues.

If the system re-adjusts itself, would that be a permanent change? Or would it also shift itself back when the battery is stronger? Thanks!

The BMS constantly monitors the battery for current condition. Current condition is what it uses to make determinations. It is not a permanent change.

I'm surprised to hear that... this is a new truck (tho being a 2024, it may have sat on the dealer's lot for a while). I don't know why it would have a battery problem.

There are LOTS of discussion threads about batteries here. You may want to search.
