Why no grab handle above the driver side window?

I don't think I've ever used it myself in my previous vehicles, but I wonder why Ford didn't include a grab handle above the driver side window, if for nothing else, to give a balanced look to the interior. I haven't gotten my truck yet so maybe the pictures from the 360 degree view is not accurate. Can anyone confirm?

Might be either a temperature thermocouple for the auto climate or a speaker to receive voice commands or phone calls.

This is pretty standard for many new models, but I don't know why. My 15 Fiesta did not have one, but my Italian built Renegade did.

It's annoying to me because in my Renegade I replaced the grab handle with a sunglasses compartment accessory. I ordered a sunroof so I'm losing my sunglasses holder so I was hoping to add one in my Maverick.

Because you have a steering wheel to help you get in if you really need it.

It wouldn't surprise me if some lawyers said that it needs to be removed as it could be seen as a liability as the driver should always have both hands on the wheel...
