I just passed the 1,000 mile mark and noticed a very annoying noise coming from my driver side window when driving at interstate speeds. The rubber around the inside of the window was bent inward in one spot and was creating a sort of pinhole wind noise. It's clear that it came this way from the factory; it looks like the installer just didn't open it up all the way around the frame. I ended up pulling out the section that was bent in, but it hasn't reformed back to normal like I expected. The noise is still present and it's extremely annoying, almost tinnitus-like. I solved the issue temporarily by stuffing a piece of paper napkin in the cavity. It looks terrible on a brand new vehicle, but it's better than the noise.
I was very excited about how quiet the cabin was, especially with the SoundScreen windshield, so this is a huge bummer.
This is such a strange and unique issue, so I doubt anyone has has this same problem. What can be done? Is this a warranty fix through the dealer? I'd love to be able to just message Ford and have them send me a new rubber piece to install myself so I don't have to go through the headache of the dealership.
