Although I posted earlier about my XL choice, this title still bothers me! Luxury cars and luxury packages have regularly been proven to be horrible investments. Saving for retirement makes a lot more sense than keeping your butt warm for 40 minutes a day. I would retitle this "Why I invested in my IRA instead of an XLT or any other Luxury Package"
I can’t argue with that. But I’m already retired, so that’s not it for me.

Investung in family comfort and convenience is often times very much worth it. If we only purchased what we absolutely need then we would not have much of an economy. My purchase of a Lariat did not prevent me from maxing my IRA, put additional money in savings, along with a few high yield CD’s. I have worked hard for my retirement and I deserve to treat myself. So yeah my butt is going to be warm in those heated seats driving around retired.

Of course and I'm not offering Financial Advice - just trying to decouple the myth that ordering an XL and poverty are somehow related. Of course understanding that all this is tongue in cheek and especially when it comes to titles. Congratulations on your IRA and your warm butt.
