Anyone have any insight on why the following colors available on XL Fleet only. With the loss of Alto Blue, was hoping for a vehicle to match my Silver car.

Carbonized Gray Metallic
Iconic Silver Metallic

I’m having a hard time understanding the why of that one too. Carbonized Gray is a super popular color so why drop it? Maybe to nudge retail customers toward the XLT? That would make sense from the point of view of Ford corporate.

On the other hand, I think that Iconic Silver is possibly the least chosen of the no extra charge colors so it would seem that very few would be nudged from XL to XLT. Maybe more than a few people got an Iconic Silver XL to match the color of the steelies. That is exactly what I did. But in my case I already liked silver so it wasn’t a matter of tolerating it. Maybe a lot of people did what I did, so it is just another nudge from Ford to get people to order a XLT instead of a XL?
