Yes on the scratch, leaving it dirty etc.... but there are still high points to come after the glow is gone!
I put new tires on my wife's Lexus with 80,000 miles a couple month back and spent the money on top of the line Michelins - Every time I drive that car now I smile - just rolls down the...
I am too - so
Of course and I'm not offering Financial Advice - just trying to decouple the myth that ordering an XL and poverty are somehow related. Of course understanding that all this is tongue in cheek and especially when it comes to titles. Congratulations on your IRA and your warm butt.
Not sure what Ford does but my wife's Toyota still has a least 3 gallons of fuel when the cruising distance is 0. So the calc for distance is based on the tank capacity less 3 gallons and times the recent average MPG.
Although I posted earlier about my XL choice, this title still bothers me! Luxury cars and luxury packages have regularly been proven to be horrible investments. Saving for retirement makes a lot more sense than keeping your butt warm for 40 minutes a day. I would retitle this "Why I invested...
SkeeterB! I lived in Texas for 8 years and as I recall there were two days each year I could "crack" a window - the seam between winter and summer (called spring in other states) and one between summer and winter (called fall in other states). Good for you! I'll be visiting my kids this summer...
I don't care for the Hyundai's styling too much; these smoother lines don't age well typically. A nice square pickup is hard to beat and typically looks better with age. Although the puffy front-end and fenders on a '56 F100 will always be cool.
I have to say I was first drawn to the Maverick by it's price. I was getting ready to spend $30K on a used Tacoma and realized I could get a new Ford for far less (yes I know the dif between a real truck and a car that's now got a small bed hanging out the back). So when I configured my order I...
Went XL, 2.0, tow pack, AWD and steelies. Price and value were hard to beat. Factory wheels are boring, tow pack get's a receiver and bigger radiator which I wanted. Here is California, cruise control is a waste of money - you set it then the freeway stops and you brake.
My son (fully loaded...
Yep - I've never been (my Brother goes every year) but I thought it was always about the collector cars? Seems odd to have a brand new Maverick next to a 23 window VW bus?
My Carbon Gray XL is scheduled to build the first part of March so I'll not likely see it until mid April. My friend, who ordered in August got his XLT last Thursday:
Also, my brother was at Barrett Jackson and was surprised at all the attention the Maverick was getting:
Just got my email: Customer order #9169
added to the tracker: XL 2.0 AWD w tow package (for the radiator and receiver:D)
Order date: 12/3/2021. Scheduled build date 3/7/2022.
No news on my Dec 3rd XL 2.0 AWD order but I see there are 22 Mavs at local dealers - is this correct?

AND I imagine this belongs on another thread, but why is this so cheap?
To get a 4 door Tacoma with the same equipment for under $30K you have to buy a 2015 w/150,000 miles. And having paid over $5K for recent repairs and maintenance on my Toyota and wife's Lexus - I don't want another high...
good! thanks - do you think the co-pilot is worth the cost?
And I agree with you on the alloy wheels - very boring these days. I miss my high school US slotted polished rims w/60 series T/As on my yellow, w/red pin strips El Camino! Car looked awesome in a world of steel wheels w/crappy hubcaps!
Glad to hear that others have gone this route. And if I mess the cruise control I look at after market as suggested above. And switching to Gray also as suggested above. Good advice all the way around - thanks
Haha! Part of me says let it look like a work truck! I'm a retired IT guy but love to walk through home depot with stuff and act like I'm in the trades... maybe get a lumber rack and hang a water thermos off the back? Thanks - moving to the gray as recommended.
I'm a simple old man. I plan to order my Maverick this Friday and I think all I want is:
AWD base model (white) - which gives me turbo 2.0 engine
Steel wheels
Tow package (for the bigger radiator and receiver)
110v outlet in the cab
and that's it.
Is this the right way to do this?
Will I wish...
