My original order was an XLT hybrid with Luxury package, but today I placed a last minute order for the lariat hybrid with luxury package and co pilot 360 assist. This gives me more time to decide if I actually want to spend the extra money on the lariat. The strange thing is, the lariat is a priority 15, but the XLT is a priority 19. I'm unsure rather the lariat order actually went through though, still waiting on my Ford Confirmation enail. Hopefully I at least get one of them filled before the model year ends. Anybody else do the same thing?

I went the opposite direction.
I tried to reinstate my 2022 Lariat Hybrid with all the bells and whistles.
I have little hope in that order so went to another dealer and ordered a bare bones XL ecoboost.

I did something similar. I had and XL Hybrid ordered and I got spooked about the percentages of both planned, XL 15%, Hybrid 35%. and lots of people posting about ordering an XL Hybrid since it is such a great budget choice.

I placed a second order at a different dealer in case there were allocation issues for an Ecoboost XLT Lux. Both also are ordered with Copilot 360 which is also a constrained item.

We will not be putting a lot miles on it so the lower MPG should not be too bad.

I will likely take whichever comes first(if one comes at all) then cancel the other order.

I went a similar route...2 hybrids ordered... XL no options priority 19, and an XLT with lux priority 19. Plan on keeping both for our family. Hopefully with them shutting down orders so early this means all 2023 orders received will be completed.

I ordered a Lariat hybrid, luxury package, sunroof, 360, 360 +, hitch, mats, etc. Ordered that the minute the floodgates opened.
After seeing the constraint list and some of the other numbers from Ford, I decided to order a base XLT with only the hitch, sliding window and moonroof. No 360 or luxury package. Fingers crossed I'll get it before next summer.

It's a shame Ford created the mess that people have to order multiple to maybe get what they want. Such a giant clusterfuck for such a great vehicle. Only positive take away over last year is cutting offer ordering really quick.

I ordered a single MY '23. My first '22 I never expected to see, and my second one is in production. the '23 was hedging a bet on the transition credit, which worked out cause Ford gave me one anyway even though both of my orders have VIN's now.

I am with others floating the idea we will see a short '23 MY and '24 order banks will open up way sooner next year. One of the sales managers at my dealer said at the Ford show in Vegas they talked about a performance and other variants ( which lines up with the leaked photos we have seen)

Do you think cutting production short could work in our favor or against us with a 2023 order? It could go both ways, either we get our trucks built sooner, or we end up having to pay an extra premium when the 2024 starts and we have to rollover. I'm thinking with order banks being short, Ford might actually be able to fill most orders for 2023

Either way really. I’d lean towards favor, and they are focusing on unconstrained dealer stock after retail orders, but who knows.
