I hooked my charger up the other day because I knew it was going to be really cold and I already didn't have interior lights when opening the doors (deep sleep). I bought one of those super capacitor jump starters so I wouldn't need to rely on someone else coming along willing to jumpstart my dead ass. Thankfully, I haven't had need for it yet. :fingerscrossed:
Curious - both my chargers, Schumacher & Noco - state charging stops at some low temp.
Schumacher has a display and said that last year on Rav4 charging in Dec. Noco just gave I think red light after several warmer days.
Do you charge it in the cold and it works? What charger?

Oh yeah - deep sleep mode is when the modem is disabled as final step - so no remote access.
You had battery saver "features" kicking off. DSM is like the last one to try, saving a whole 25 mA once an hour. Well, and a process that could go wrong and kill the battery faster.

Good timing though - because even at 11.5 V, my cabin lights stayed on for 27 seconds. Of course killing that faster!
Yours must have been really bad for lights off on door open.

I use my car daily. Somehow after work, I left the car with the blinking hazard lights on because of the snow all over the road. After one hour, I came back to find all sorts of errors—engine, steering, and all kinds of alarms—ultimately due to low battery. Fortunately, a Subaru saved me and I was able to start the vehicle. As of now, I have the engine light on, but hopefully it will disappear, or I'll have to reset it.
I replaced the battery about one and a half years ago.

By the way, if you're thinking about why you should buy a Maverick with the rear opening and sliding door—well, to pass the electric jumper cables through! That way, it would've been much less of a mess to use.

I use a Battery Tender Jr to charge up my battery. It's never refused to work in the cold. I've had it for probably 15 years and I love it. I got my truck in July 2023 and the interior lights and auto start/stop quit working within a few months. I charge the battery on occasion and it keeps starting. I plan on mentioning the battery when I eventually go to get the backup camera recall done.

My wife’s 24 hybrid had set for last 9 days outside in 5-30 degree covered in 6 inches of snow and sleet with wind chill sometimes down to -10 degrees. Got the deep sleep message 3 days ago and finally decided this afternoon to check on it. Was surprised that the key fob opened the door. Got in no dome light or dash lights when opened door but it cranked right up. Temperature was 28 degrees drove a couple of miles and heater was pushing out the hot air. Ford pass is still not showing communication with truck after driving 10 miles.
