What's everyones experience with sound deadening?

Where have you used it, what kind did you use, and did it make any noticeable difference?

I opened the front doors and crammed HVAC refrigerant line foam into the openings between the door & engine compartment (open the hood and you'll easily see daylight through the huge gaps there.

When I had better speakers installed, I also had them install Dynamat sound attenuation material in the doors.

These two incremental improvements really lowered the outside noise and made it so much easier to hear the fn rattles in the dash. :rolleyes:
