No tools yet but what I DO carry is a 10" long, 2"x10" board to place the jack on in case of a flat.
I don't want to set the jack with it's small base on God-knows-what kind of ground surface I'll encounter if I get a flat.
Just a precautionary thing.
I was thinking of getting a small floor/trolly jack like this one. https://amzn.to/4jAuCWh

Sounds like someone over torqued the lug nuts on your truck. I’ve only used the factory one one time (all four wheels) and it worked perfectly. I still prefer to use a beaker bar.
I’m fond of Tekton, if it breaks send a picture and a new one ships same day at NO CHARGE. No search for receipt, no why did it break, no BS.

The company was founded as Michigan Industrial Tools (MIT) in the 1960s and primarily operated as an importer and business-to-business distributor.
Since the founder's sons joined the company in the late 2000s, it has rebranded as Tekton and shifted its business model to focus on direct-to-consumer sales and manufacturing its own products, with many of its current product lines made in the United States and Taiwan. The company is known for its transparent manufacturing and lifetime warranty policies that do not require receipts.

I would check your height on that. 🤔
I carried one of those, behind the seat on ALL my Rangers.
On the Maverick, it WOULD NOT, jack the truck high enough to lift the tires, off the ground... :(
(On the Rangers' I could catch it under the rear axle OR the front lower arm. On the Maverick, all you got is the Body??)

So, I carry the "Factory" Jack.. But, added a dedicated ratchet and socket to fit the Factory Jack's screw...
