Uuuh… you think it would’ve been on the back of the rear seat…. no??OK. I was going to reply about how this is a backup launching mechanism for the Jellyfish Launcher.
But
Decided to Google it and actually found a page on Ford.com with a strap that looks very similar.
https://www.ford.com/product/release-strap-p4000144423
Could this be the release strap that goes on the back of the rear seat?
Yeah I would think so too! Not discounting the possibility though that maybe it didn't get attached properly to the seat and came off, or maybe an extra one got dropped/left behind in OP's vehicle from the factory.Uuuh… you think it would’ve been on the back of the rear seat…. no??![]()
Looks like this....This strap came in a bag along with my new 2025 Maverick. There was no explanation as to what it used for. Can anyone help me out and tell me what this is for?
Thanks

Awesome concert, 1982 or 3 perhaps right after the New Traditionalists album was released. Thank you for stimulating my memory. Mentioning stimulating...
Please explain its usage. It’s a sex toy.

This picture answers the question. It is a sex prevention device.Contrary to popular legend, a Maverick can be a wild steer or it can be a wild/unbroken Horse. If you consider the horse, one way of making sure they don’t run off is to put Hobbles on their front feet.
I say that the strap is obviously a set of Hobbles.

You got my voteYou may be on to something. My dirtbike tiedowns came with something similar to that so you don’t scratch the handlebars… even if one side has a coated hook
